Prague, the country's capital, is located 90 miles (145 kilometers) northwest of Krizanov.
The area around Krizanov is crisscrossed with things to do and see, from perennial tourist favourites to lesser known gems. Visit the Trebic Jewish Quarter and St. Procopius Basilica in and around Trebic, some 16 miles (26 kilometers) to the northeast of Krizanov.
Organise your transportation and spend half a day in Brno, a major city for the region, some 25 miles (40 kilometers) from Krizanov. The city offers a number of tourist attractions, such as Brno Trade and Fair Centre, Villa Tugendhat and Brno Circuit (Masaryk Circuit). Spilberk Castle, University of Technology Brno and Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul (Katedrala sv Petra a Pavla) are just a sample of the other attractions that should be included on every traveler's itinerary.
One of the best ways to truly understand a region is by knowing about its past. Take a trip to the historic mansions while you are here. If you're in the hunt for things to do that won't cost an arm and a leg, why not take a little tour of the Czech Republic's many outdoor popular gardens and open-air exhibits.
If you're the kind of traveler who likes to take things easy while holidaying, this region is great for picnicking and cycling. Pack your own equipment or rent the gear locally, and discover the region's water activities. Swimming is an option. Another is boating.
You won't want to say "Ahoj" (farewell) to this magnetic part of the world.
