Location: Apart from the golf course, the hotel itself has limited sporting facilities. But it can take you to a nearby swimming-pool without extra charge.
This was a first-class hotel offering a first-class experience. Beautifully located 10 miles or so from Frankfurt, it combines luxury with comfort with the bonus of warm, friendly staff. Highly recommended for a treat.

Nice hotel with friendly staffPosted Sep 21, 2013
Very nice hotel with a great view of the golf course. Unfortunately golf prices are very high. Friendly helpful staff. Everything was great except for the typical European hard bed we're not used to.

Castle living and royalty treatmentPosted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: The atmosphere, staff, location and food.
Cons: There was no air conditioning. At this time of year, it was not necessary to have a/c but thank heavens, they had fans.
Location: Green, green, green and quiet. A wonderful perspective of a German village with its nearby castles. There were 2 castles and Victoria Park.
Who wouldn't want to be treated as if you were a part of the Royal family? It was amazing and the hotel staff was outstanding. To get the one and only chance to stay in a five-star castle/hotel is a must for anyone with fantasies of being rich and to live in the era of romantic renaissance. This was very affordable and the food was excellent. The area was very comfortable and the village was within walking distance. There were no traffic and loud noise to speak of, just the calm and relaxing atmosphere as the royals would have wanted when they needed to get away from their subjects, possible debtors and wars. We highly recommend this hotel if you can book it. We were only able to book this hotel through Expedia. On the castle/hotel web site, they were sold out.

The hotel is very beautiful old castle with amazing grounds. Very well kept. We had problem with the shower and were offered to upgrade our room to suite for the second night. What was really nice.

beautiful castle hotelPosted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was well worth driving to the hotel. The service was excellent and the room was beautifully decorated. My husband and I will stay again if we go back to Frankfurt.

It was hot & we did not know there was no air conditioning. Turned the fan on & did not go back to the room until late.

It was a coll experience to stay in a castle. Would be nice to have a solution to the lack of AC for hot days. Staff were always very polite and helpful.

Outstanding (undergoing renovatoin)Posted Apr 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
We will certainly return, it is like staying in a museum. Great staff and magnificant history. The restaurant was being rennovated, so a bit of inconvenience was experienced (we only learned of this days prior to arrival). Regardles, we will return when a chance occurs. You should check it out!

Gorgeous castle hotelPosted Oct 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
Loved the hotel and the staff was fabulous. The only negative was the restaurant. We tried to book a table for dinner, and the maitre'd told us it was not possible because they were fully booked. We asked the front desk for other restaurant suggestions, and they were surprised to hear we were not allowed a reservation in their restaurant. The problem was quickly fixed. The maitre'd needs to learn a little tact.

Superb place for history buffsPosted Sep 17, 2012
Cons: Food options are limited
Location: Easy train connection to Frankfurt
Amazing historic setting with spectacular grounds. The only disappointment was that the food was mediocre and very expensive. This hotel is worth it for the experience, but if you want chic, modern, and updated it would not be the place for you. History buffs will revel in the fabulous architecture and sense of being immersed in a royal residence.
