We had a decent sized twin room enough to sprawl 2 suitcases of luggage across. Bathroom was clean (no bathtub as we had a basic room), reasonable amount of toiletries were provided. Housekeeping were excellent and super friendly, room was spotless when we returned. Area is super convenient, walkable distance to Pavillion and a couple of cheap local eats. Main road hotel is located on is quite busy, hard to catch a taxi/Grab in peak hour, so allow extra time when travelling. Overall loved our stay :) not our first visit and not our last either (Dorsett Residence next door is also lovely and suited for families with kitchen/dining/lounge room).

Location is unbeatable. Great restaurants and bars in Malls behind the Dorsett and of course all sorts of shopping. I visit KL for food so I don’t really shop. Service was great and easy access to hotel restaurant for breakfast next door. Apartment had all the amenities and they even gave a great welcome food basket. Kitchen well equipped but we didn’t cook although we could have. The in unit washing machine/dryer was an absolute life saver. The infinity pool was also great. Would definitely stay again!!

Good location, behind the newest malls in Bukit Bintang. Just about 5-7 minutes walk, and its a quiet area behind the malls. Near the bukit bintang lrt around 7 minutes too.

Facilities are standard for a hotel of its class. Shower water pressure could be stronger The best: Front Desk service I left my car unlocked and the battery went flat the next day. It was a Saturday evening then. They helped me find a jump start service. The worst: Parking. If you're driving a bigger car, I highly recommend valet parking or parking at the private lot *beside* the property (it’s Rm12/entry, hotel car park is RM10/entry). The building is old and the car park ramps are too narrow. Luckily I managed to get away unscathed with an S Class but at the worst turning point my car was about 1cm from the wall/ledge on both sides. Many other cars I saw had their left door scuffed and dented including a Porsche Macan and a Mazda CX5. You’ll need to really take your time. TLDR; good hotel with great service. Don’t park in the basement car park if you drive a bigger car

Generally a good stay. The decor of the rooms seems abit dated. Gym facilities are abit dirty, which was a turn off. Other than that, it’s okay overall.

The room was really run down and old with dim lightings. The toiletries like toilet paper and towels were not sufficent. The receptionist was just chatting with colleagues instead of properly serving me when i was checking in. The whole hotel is also very old and dated. Only good staff are the bellboys manning the main entrances as they are always polite and welcoming.

For a 4 star property, we felt is was only very average. The staff were all very business like excepr Joanna the restaurant manager. She was lovely and full of life. The food is the restaurant was not good quality and was very cold. All hot dishes were in warmers that did not heat the food at all. No variation of food in the morning. Room was large but extremely dated. Old carpets and drapes. House keeping did a great job and the room was cleaned daily to a good standard. Good location but would not choose to stay again. Other better hotels in the area

Except for the obvious signs of wear/damage to the decor of the hotel room, and the gym room which needs a bit of updating and some disinfectant spray for wiping down equipment, the hotel was perfect. Staff were friendly and welcoming, the buffet breakfast was great, and the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of a number of attractions and activities.

Spacious and comfortable room, with everything provided that you need - the only thing missing was a shoehorn. Not much storage space, though. The staff are very courteous and the lifts are fast. One thing the hotel could consider in future is providing staff assistance (or something else) to help the guests cross the busy road outside, as there is no pedestrian crossing nearby.

We stayed in the Residence apartments and it was a spacious, well equipped apartment. It was great to have a washer/dryer. We didn’t know there was a pool on top of our building, so that would have been nice information to be told by reception on check in. We saw it from top of Petronas Towers. There were no towels provided, so perhaps guests in the Residence building could be provided with extra Towels in the room. On checkout we were charged a Malaysian tourist tax which we were unaware of. It wasn’t expensive but we were unaware. Handy location to shopping

I requested for a family room of 3 single beds but hotel record showed 1 king bed 1 single bed. Does it mean that Expedia and hotel bookings do not link? We had 3 pax in the room but we were only given 2 bath towels on the 2nd day. Hand and face towels were also not given and only upon we called the housekeeping, then they came. The 3rd bath towel that came was also fraying at the sides of the towel. There were no sockets at the bedside to charge our phones too. Some parts of the room were also dusty and obviously not cleaned properly after the previous guests checked out. The only consolation to this stay was the location of the hotel. But we will not stay at this hotel again. There are other better hotels in the same vicinity area.

Absolutely pathetic, should avoid at all cost!!!!!
Booked Dorsett Residence for Two Bedroom Premier Queen + Twin. The unit smells like someone buried a dead body. Maintenance was sent to verify and he agreed the unit is not fit for living soul. Apparently the drain pipes get clogged continuously and this is not the first time or first unit they have such problem. On top of that, the floor is dusty as well as traces of hairs were found on dining chairs, sofas, bathtubs as well as pillows. Hotel has no choice but to switch us to Dorsett Hotel with two rooms. The rooms are so dated, air conditioning not functioning properly room reek of faint tobacco smell despite it is a non smoking room. Strongly advise any travelers to reconsider other hotels and avoid Dorsett Kuala Lumpur at all cost. If you must stay at a Dorsett property, consider their Sri Hartamas one.

the road leading to Pavilion needs lots of improvement .footpath is full with illegally parked motorbikes.the drains are smelly.The city council needs to do more work to improve the city image in cleanlyness n traffic control.footpaths not even
