have stayed 3 times in the melia KL and we just love it they upgrade us last week because they didnt have a non smoking room, gee we got chocolates at night. they are friendly and always happy to please. we would not stay anywhere esle in KL. very close to shops and dining at night. always feel safe walking the streets we be going agin in 2011. keep up the good work melia.

“Marvelous Melia”

Although my stay was short, unfortunately, the hotel staff made me feel at home from the moment I checked in (which was quite late at night) until I checked out. They organised a couple of requests of mine with friendly efficiency and nothing seemed to be any trouble. The Piano Bar was particularly restful after a hectic day of either sightseeing or shopping, and I can recommend the Frozen Marguerita as one of the best I have had anywhere. I have already recommended The Melia to friends who will be in Kuala Lumpur in March, and will be back again myself.

the melia was the best place to stay staff friendly food great and such a fantastic location close to monorail, shops and tourist attractions. would definatly be my first choice to stay when i return.

Stayed at this hotel on two occassions during Sept 2010 first time had Melia guest room, room good but bathroom very small, next visit hotel upgraded us to Premium guest room, very nice room, much larger bathroom, overall pleasant experience.

connecting rooms can be a bit noisy were woken easily by the people next door. apart from this hotel was great.

“The Level is worth the extra money.”

We paid a little extra to stay at "The Level" at this hotel and it was worth it. We didn't have to wait to check in or out. The service in the excludive lounge,/restaurant/reception area was wonderful and the area was quiet and comefortable. And the free snacks and cocktails were a bonus. When my wallet was stolen, the staff in the downstairs area were not very helpful but the staff at The Level immediately found, and rang, all the phone numbers I needed to report my credit cards stolen. They spent almost an hour helping me. One other delighful suprise was the presentation of a cake on my birthday which they had learned about when helping my husband arrange a dinner for it without letting me know. The pool was quite small but very nice because it was mainly in the shade and remained cool. The only reservation I had was that the arrangement of the room and air-conditioner meant that, although the coffee table side of the room was comefortably cool, the bed remained at about 24-26 degrees Celcius. I definately recommend The Level.

“Very comfortable hotel close to transport and shops.”

The standard of this hotel is very good and I was surprised that it only rates three and a half stars. The buffet breakfast is also very good with a wide selection of food. The hotel is in the middle of a large shopping precinct and right next to the monorail which you can catch to Chinatown or to the central rail station. There is a huge choice of eating places very close to the hotel. Our only complaint was that we were given a smoking room but fortunately the hotel was able to move us to a non-smoking room after the first night. We would be very happy to stay here next time we are in KL.

“Best location for shopping and monorail”

Good location for shopping at Times Square as it is opposite hotel and around the corner is Sg Wang Plaza. Monorail connects to other train systems so can go to China Town and the Twin Towers. Breakfast good selection of eastern and western food. Good gym.

“LOcation Location”

The Melia is situated right in the of Bukit Bintang close to the best shopping, eating and transport that the city has to offer. Literally across the street is the Times Square Mall that includes a theme Park (with rides bigger than the gold coast) The Hotel was fantastic value for money and had great sevice, facilities , The air con actually kept the room cool. The Hotel security was great with your room card only allowing access to the floor that your room is on. Recommend this to anyone staying in KL who wants to shop, eat or just see the sights.
