“waow,waow,waow,and again waow”

i was really wonderfully surprised by this shangrila. actually i had never been disappointed by a shangrila,but this one impressed me by his gardens,his pool,his area,his location,the lovely and nice atmosphere,the kindness of his staff. even my kids were extremely satisfied and if i had to come back to kuala lumpur,i will not go to the city,but i will book at shangrila putrajaya. the buffet breakfast was splendid,the surroundings very very beautiful.

“Impressed”

We stayed here because of its nearness to both KL and the Airport. We hired a car and found it easily as there are signs around Putrajaya. Putrajaya is good location to explore KL and its surroundings. A beautiful hotel with good restaurants and other facilities and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again if I was in KL.

Superb location, if you want ease of access to and fron KLIA and if you want to drive and do day trips as KL is a nightmare for driving.

“An oasis of peace and calm”

The hotel was virtually empty which seems a shame but we had the fabulous pool to ourselves most of the weekend. It is posible to walk to the mosque and the Prime ministers offices - both spectacular buildings - through the fabulous gardens and park in about 20 minutes(get a taxi back 10 ringets (2quid) as it is uphill). Great value. Lovely rooms. Fantastic grounds leading to the stunningly local park to the mosque and government buildings. Free shuttle to the shopping arcade. Free drink not a cocktail as advertised but wine or beer at the pool or lounge. Free newspaper to your room. Very reasonable food and drink. Friendly charming staff.

“Putrajaya -- A break from Kuala Lumpur”

Tucked away in the countryside, the Shangri-La Putrajaya was a bit hard for our driver to find during our drive from KLIA. In fact, he got lost. But once we got there it was a sight to behold. Beautiful property, modern and clean lines are what welcome you on the drive up to the entrance. Gorgeous lobby. There was a moldy smell in the wing where our first room was assigned and the floors in the room were a bit dusty however, as soon as we let the staff know, we were moved to the adjoining wing and everything was fine. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Food was delish. A small gecko/lizard appeared on the wall the morning of our departure but I took it in stride, considering our tropical location. Overall...3.5 to 4 stars (out of 5)

“Great views, great pool but unpleasant staff”

Staff didn't greet us at all, we were waiting outside with 5 pieces of luggage and no one offered help. When we entered the hotel, no Hello or greeting offered by the check in staff. This continued throughout our stay from the lady in the spa who obviously didn't want customers to the room service, highly disappointed especially after hearing so much about their hospitality. Menu although extensive, not particularly tasty,and many items were out of stock, It appeared that food was ready made and heated on an order basis, not freshly cooked. Room was pleasant, but extremely dusty. Bathtub was big but had stains and markings all over it. Swimming pool is the hotels greatest asset.
