Excellent locationPosted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: The location. The pool appreciated after a walking day, Buffet breakfast excellent, attention of the staff answering our request. Quiet at night
Cons: The insulation and customers must be advise of the postage stamp size of a standard room
Location: Easy acces to everywhere by walk and Public transport
Very easy to reach all the interesting site by walking and public transport. Standard room much too small for 2 persons, can hardly walk to the desk and window. Also no insulation we can hear the a/c working outside the window, and the Tv and other special nigth noise from the adjacent room. Communicating room may be good for family . The service was excellent, Frig Minibar was not working they changed it within 20 minutes.

Nice night marketPosted Jan 27, 2014
We enjoyed our stay at silka hotel. At AUD50 per night its a great budget accommodation. Including breakfast, selection was sufficient, nothing fancy but includes freshly cooked omlettes and delicious pineapple! Bed was slightly hard, but found hotel to be clean. Great local night market every night with larger selection on Saturday night. No need to bargain as prices displayed and very cheap. Easy to get taxi too. Enjoyed thus budget hotel.

Wouldn't really recommend.Posted Jan 13, 2014
Pros: room service food
Cons: the breakfast buffet, the bathrooms, the overall service. I would rate this hotel no more than 3 stars.
The room is quite small, the bathroom could definitely use a renovation. The breakfast buffet was not good. Room service didn't collect the plates till the next day. On the other hand, the food we ordered was actually quite good. and the bed was comfortable. Location is pretty decent as well.

Value for moneyPosted Dec 14, 2013
Cons: Seaview? Haha
Location: Fairly central, nothing much nearby except Chinese visa centre if you're planning to travel to China as I did
This hotel is superb for the price. The room is large and comfortable, and (For a pleasant change!) the food- especially local food- is authentic and delicious. Staff are friendly and efficient. Great hotel for the price! Hong Kong branch is also excellent value

The good enough hotelPosted Nov 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Wished there was Wifi beyond the lobby or pool. I was in another country so my only option outside of the internet for communication was to buy a phone out there. The elevators were wonky also. Sometimes having to wait for extended periods of time and certain elevators you needed your card and some you didn't. Other than that it was a good hotel. Rooms were nice. Always clean and maintained. I opted for the included breakfast which was nice. Ultimately I can't really complain because it was very affordable and it did what it needed to do which was be comfortable and not have to worry about bugs and having my things secure

comfy beds - but not much morePosted Oct 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here for 6 nights in October 2013. The hotel was clean but the decor, linens and building interior was shabby and tired looking. There was no comfortable lounge area to sit. The lobby area looked clean and shiny but as soon as you got in the lift everything was worn and shabby. It looked like a coat of paint had been applied to the walls in the corridors months ago and they had forgotten to do the second coat. It was inexpensive compared to some other places but definitely not 4 star or as the pictures displayed it. Either the photos were taken years ago or they had a fantastic photographer.
