Pros: It's location, that it was clean and the staff was very friendly.
Cons: Their shower could be better with warmer water and shampoo.
Location: The location was in an Indian part of the city which was next to a lot of shopping and very close to the train.
The hotel for its price and location was great and would suggest to my friends to stay there.

Good Budget Hotel in Indian LocalityPosted Oct 2, 2013
Selected this hotel from reviews on net. It is a good hotel for Indians. Shopping malls like Haneefa and MyDin are very near. A large Mall Sogo is also very near. Many things to buy in the nearby area at very reasonable rates especially from Mydin and Haneefa. Transportation is also easilty available. A very good thing about this hotel is that it is very near to some good vegetarian Indian outlets such as Sarvanan and Sangeetha (In a very near Palace Hotel). I likeed Sangeetha because of the quality of food and hygiene. The hotel in itself, being a budget hotel, is not great but OK. Bathroom is very small and regulator of hot and cold water is not working well. Staff is friendly.

very good hotel for asian/Indian shopping and foodPosted Jul 20, 2013
Pros: nearby to indian food and shopping
Cons: no massages nesarby
Location: good for KL tower. Masjid India station nearby. all street shopping nearby and until late.
Very good. all things were nearby. especially dress shops and Asian food. being Ramadan season, we really indulged ourselves. staff was very helpful. they put a wi-fi booster in our room when i complained about it. i read a lot of reviews beforehand. so no surprises. the only surprise was a free upgrade to a bigger family room. Thanks to Expedia. they really helped to select this hotel. all our plans executed perfectly. Beware, no massages nearby this area. they said have to go to Bukit Bintang.

Star Points Hotel - unpleasant locationPosted Jun 4, 2013
Pros: The staff were mostly polite
Cons: Almost everything
Location: Unpleasant - close to a flea market that sells counterfeit goods. Scary.
Star Points Hotel was a huge disappointment. It is not new as described in a travel forum. The hotel's lobby is a bit clean and the hallways. A mosquito was hovering on the lobby. The room is not especially the bathroom is not maintained. The sheets had strands of long hair. It was obvious the sheets were not replaced. The location appears to be scary. It is close to a flea market that you have to pass through to get to the train station. It is scarier to take a cab since the location seems to be in an unpleasant neighborhood. Breakfast buffet served cold food when they were supposed to be hot. It looked like they were left-over food from the day before. The staf though were very nice and polite. You had to pay 50 Malaysian Ringgit (about USD 17.00) per day. That was just ridiculuous.

Starpoints has a few points to gain.Posted May 16, 2013
Pros: Convenient for budget travel. No frills.
Cons: Immediate location and thin walls.
Location: Handy for tourist spots within walking distance.
The Starpoints hotel is adequate for those like us, who are on a budget. It met our requirements in as much as it was somewhere to sleep. The local area was a bit grotty and we didn't feel safe there. It was close enough to walk to the main tourist sights around though which was good and a ten minute walk to the tube for KL central station. We didn't like the breakfast and the evening meals we tried were okay, but nothing to shout about. The place is dated and the walls were this as our neighbours kept us awake with the television being on, but it wasn't loud as they were talking over it, so that spoiled it a bit.
