“More like a 4.5 hotel”
Even though my title is “More like a 4.5 hotel” this is not really a bad review. Actually, the opposite… Pros: 1Excellent staff. From the bell hops to the managers.. 2 Delicious breakfasts with a wide assortment of dishes. 3VERY comfy bed and nice tub (shower was great too, but it is also one of my cons-see below). 4 Excellent location 5 Amazing spa services. 6 Amenities in the room were great, the bathroom toiletries and the tea and coffee! All really nice. 7 The front desk staff offered to correct some minor problems we had in our room without us even having to ask. 8 If you don’t have an item in the room, ask the front desk. 9 times out of 10 they have and will deliver it to your room. 9 Very knowledgeable and helpful concierges! Cons: 1Oddly enough the hotel had the appearance of a beautiful 5 star hotel, yet the paint finishing throughout the hotel was horrible. For example, if you look up in the bathroom of your hotel room you can see splotches of paint. Not a biggie, more of an eyesore. 2The information booklet inside the room is not accurate. For example, the room service menu has items that are not available (for the immediate future) and doesn’t have several items that are actually available.3Our biggest annoyance was the shower in the room. It is a wonderful shower experience! Walking in the humid weather all day made us want to run to the shower. However, the shower leaks like crazy! We had two different rooms and the problem was the same in both.
“Not Bad hotel”
THe Serves is not profational
“Excellent Hotel”
Great Room, Excellent Service, Great Breakfast. Warisan Restaurant has great specials and great value happy hour at Heritage Bar. Recommended!
“VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! STAY AWAY!”
IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I WAS TOTALLY EMBARRASSED IN FRONT OF MY GUESTS, IT SHOULD BE 2 STAR HOTEL MAX. THE MANAGER WAS GOOD AND HE TRIED TO SAVE THE SITUATION WITH A FREE FRUIT BASKET BUT IT WHO NEEDS THE FRUITS WHEN SOO ANNOYED AND UPSET ABOUT ALL!
“Amazing breakfast, convenient location, 1 hr drive from LCCT”
Close to everything! Havent stayed anywhere else in KL but this was ideal for a good break. Lovely pool, brilliant breakfast, short walk to major shops and monorail. Thoroughly enjoyed my 4 days here!
“Very good experience”
Nice, hotel, nice service, very good located
“A very special experience.”
We enjoyed our initial stay at the Royale Chulan Hotel so much that we returned there for two nights at the end of our trip. The surroundings were quiet, very pleasant with views of the twin towers from some accommodation. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and well serviced. Breakfast was one of the best we've experienced. All staff were welcoming, friendly and courteous. The swimming pool well positioned and in peaceful surroundings.
“Good Value”
For the price we paid, I can't complain. Excellent hotel and location. Good breakfast. Good value. Only thing that annoyed me was lack of digital clock or any clock in room :) Also Conceirage advised us of a trip to Genting Highlands, and specifically said price included Cable Ride, our main interest. When we go there, driver had many stops on his agenda that we were not interested in and a waste of time (such as mushroom and flower farms, chocolate place...) and to make it worse, Cable Ride was not working and has been in maintenance that whole month (conceirage should have known). We paid for it!
“Would definitely return”
The hotel is almost new, the rooms are large, and the staff is extremely courteous and helpful. A short 10 - 15 minute walk to the Pavillion and KLCC shopping malls and the busy Bukit Bintang shopping and dining area. Very reasonable prices for a hotel of this quality.
“A great pleasure to stay in golden triangle”
we stayed two nights at Royal Chulan, and the experience is unbeatable. Very beautiful deco, nice and spacious room, great location, (walking distance to Petronas Towers), and great service. Definitely would stay again next time in Kuala Lumpur. The only minor drawback is that after i returned, I noticed that my credit card pre-authorization was not canceled, although I have prepaid all fares on Expedia. The authorization will show up as a deduction on my credit card balance until 45 days later. So make sure you ask the front desk to cancel your pre-authorization upon check out.
