“Can't wait to go back, worth for the price”

The hotel was fantastic. I cannot find any negative things to say. It is really worth for the price. I can recommend this hotel to anybody. The service provided by the hotel staff was very good. The staffs were very nice. The taxi service can be arranged from there and the waiting till was minimal can say none The condition of the hotel - beautiful appearance, looks new, very well maintained, very nice, very neat. We enjoyed the 4 nights stay and we would love to go back again. The swimming pool was neat and well maintained. The food was yummy. We had breakfast and dinner there. We all enjoyed the food.

“Fantastic hotel.”

Great hotel in central location. The hotel itself is exceptionally nice. The service is a little wayward but only, I think, because they are trying too hard. It really is a gem of a place and, when I stayed on the weekend of the F1 grand prix (which should have been the busiest of the year) I got a cracking room rate and a free upgrade. 5 mins from monorail. Views of Petronas Towers.

“Impressive hotel with friendly staff”

We found the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur met all our requirements - friendly service, comfortable room, excellent service and great location. Nothing seemed to be too much to ask - staff went out of their way to greet you and were all very helpful.

“Impressive....”

Amazing... This is how to sum up the experience we had at this hotel right from checking in till checking out. The wide range available at breakfast is going to blow your brains. Excellent amenities are available in the room. Only negative that we felt was the oversized bill that we received after using the telephone for calling India, which was charged at around 14 ringgets per min or so.

“It's actually a great location for shopping!”

The hotel is on a quiet street but is actually near the new shopping centres- Pavillion and Farenheit 88. It is also within easy access of Sung Wei Plaza and Times Square if you cut through the Pavillion shopping centre (upmarket shops). Breakfast was great- food from all around the world and the staff were extremely helpful but not over the top. Nice little gym room there too. In terms of a base for shopping in KL it is really good. Plenty of warnings about bag snatchers in the area though probably as it's near the more upmarket shops so prudent to watch your belongings! Would recommend this place.

“Wow, What a Hotel.”

Excellent hotel, just over 12 months old. Located close to the city centre and Petronas tower is a 10 minute walk away. Excellently furnished from the front door to the rooms. Breakfast was a large selection of food for every traveller. Everyone had a warm and inviiting smile and always greeted you, every time you walk past. If you are planning a holiday in KL, you will not be disappointed if you choose The Royale Chulan Motel.

“Outstanding hotel”

This is a fairly new hotel and what impressed was the very generous use of space: passages, rooms, public areas were all huge compared with the multinational chains. Security features were good. Breakfast (included for our stay) was outstanding with massive choice of Western full or continental, and various oriental (Malaysian, Chinese and Japanese) foods. We had one dinner in their speciality Malaysian restaurant which was beautifully and imaginatively presented and tasted fantastic, but was priced for foreigners, but much of that was the wine we chose. I would rate this hotel with 6 stars out of 5, and our price through Expedia was astonishingly low - perhaps we were lucky with a special, I don't know. Convenient location: next to cultural arts centre (where the hop-on/hop-off bus stops), 100metres to top Malaysian restaurant, 200m to large shopping complex and 15-20 minute walk to the Patronas towers. The Malaysian king dined there privately one night while we were there - is that a recommendation? They have conference facilities not examined by us. The only negative was that the shop had limited tourist stuff and virtually nothing else: I think they need to review what they are aiming for there. I would strongly recommend this hotel for tourists and business people, but not particularly for small children (though the pool was good)

“No catch in the price.”

When we told our driver where we staying even he remarked that the hotel was a palace. He wasnt wrong. From the stunning lobby to the excellent rooms we were bowled over by this hotel. First room we had on our first stop had a blacony with a view of the pool, second room a view of the Patronus towers. Fantastic breakfast buffet with Malay, Japanese, Chinese and Western choices. Room was spotless and there was free paper every day. Easy access to the Pavilion mall with hundreds of food choices, and Bukit Bintang nearby. Best of all were the staff - I must mention the concierge Nathan who sorted out our airport transfer when the firm neglected to turn up. I was expecting a catch with this price, but there really is none.
