Malay style hospitality and accommodationPosted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Everything but it may not suit those who want a corporate style hotel with carpeting etc
Cons: Nothing - don't change anything
Location: We did not leave the location - the resort had everything we wanted for this short break.
Everything from the warm greeting at Reception to the same at departure was perfect. Ganeral Manager was much in evidence and introduced himself to us as did his deputies. All the staff were happy to do whatever they could to enhance the experience. Accomodation was local style and luxurious. Beach is idyllic. Excellent food.

Pros: The staff were the best. the resort itself was breathtaking
Cons: The beds werent as comfortable as i would have expected and i would have liked a little store or kiosk that sold snacks etc as the resort is issolated
My husband and I stayed for 7 nights. The staff were amazing. There was nothing that they wouldnt do for you. I had a knee injury and they were very happy to accommodate me needs.

Hidden secret at 4.5 hrs driving from KLPosted May 6, 2015
Pros: The Service and activities available
Cons: To serve room service and offer promotions at the spa as it is extremly expensive, we basicaly didnt use it for that reason
Location: Visit Tenggol island, is offered as one of the activities from the hotel for diving or snorkeling
Excellent Hotel, with a fantastic beach, service and facilities. They have several activities but two of them were exceptional, the trip to Tenggol Island and the Picnic offered by the hotel on Saturdays and Sunday to resemble the typical Malay/Commonwealth gathering. I will definitely come back

The hotel is really nice & very comfortable. The only downfall is the price pre room. But it is all worth it

Good location over looking the South China seaPosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Close to a really nice beach which wasn't crowded
Cons: In some places the hotel needs up dating Especially the rooms
Location: There was nothing near by as the hotel is in a remote area To reach anything by car takes 1 and half hours
Nice small friendly hotel, staff were helpful Restaurants were nice but slightly pricey There is no night entertainment each in evenings and can get a bit boring

Beautiful hotel in stunning groundsPosted Sep 21, 2014 on Hotels
This was our first trip to Tanjong Jara, but it certainly won't be our last. The hotel is really beautiful and the beach clean and deserted.

Quiet & amazingPosted Sep 16, 2014 on Hotels
Tanjong Jara is a great resort in every aspect. The location is a little off, not much going on around the hotel. But that was just what we were looking for! The hotel organizes tours and activities, and honestly those were some of the best tours I've taken. Not at all as "touristy" as many other places. We went snorkeling and turtle watching. Can't stress enough how good that was. We saw a huge green turtle crawl up on the beach to lay eggs. Got so close to it! We also got to see the baby turtles hatch and run down the beach into the water. It was nothing short of amazing. The snorkeling tour was also great. LOADS of fish, coral andbreathtaking visability. Best snorkeling I've done. If you go to Tanjong Jara you should def do these tours! Food at the resort was great, chef Anne is really good at what shes doing, and catering to our vegetarian diet was no problem! We were very well taken care of by Sajuri, Denise, Ricky, Maziah, Emma and Olivier - such amazing staff. Just wanted to say special thanks to you guys! The hotel has a great quiet, private beach an dthe south china sea is great for a swim! The hotels pools are also great. Can't really say anything negative about this place. Would recommend everyone to go!
