From Kualapuu, it's about 6 miles (10 kilometers) to the east to Molokai Island and 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the southeast to Lanai Island.
The area around Kualapuu is wonderfully endowed with things to do and see, from big-ticket tourist hotspots to quiet, secret places that are waiting just for you. Ualapue and Kaluaaha are just two of the many other places you may wish to visit while you're in Hawaii.
Kaunakakai, is another interesting place to discover. It is 7 miles (11 kilometers) from Kualapuu and offers a diverse range of things to see and do, like Halawa Bay Beach, Papohaku Beach and Kepuhi Beach. Honouli Maloo Bay Beach and Kapuaiwa Coconut Grove are also good places to spend a little time.
