Nice hotel with poorly trained staff.Posted Sep 30, 2014
Upon arrival, the bellboy brought us to our room, when our keycard doesnt work, only then he realised he brought us to the wrong room. When we brought the kids to the kiddies pool, we found there's a huge colony of fire ants under the tree just beside the pool, told the staff about the danger of fire ants in close proximity with the children playing nearby, he just smile back at me and nothing was done for the whole day. Then the next morning, hotel did a poor planning by mixing huge corporate group with normal guest during breakfast in one small restaurant. Result, long queue, food ran out fast, slow to replenished, and we were asked to dined in the adjacent meeting room without any utensils. Instead of reflecting on their own poor management, they blamed it on the sales team for poor communication. It's a nice hotel but certain staffs are poorly trained.

good locatedPosted Aug 24, 2014
near the beach, Sarawak Cultural Village, and Damai Central. Sometimes the front service was not enough, asked to come for the luggages twice but didn't come etc.

Outdated but unique resortPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Barok huts were unique and hillside pool had nice views. The in-house spa was limited but great staff/service.
Cons: Faster response to room service and less restrictions on basic amenities like extra charges for extra towels.
Location: Bako national park tour is a necessity
Stay in the Baruk huts or a hillside room for the views. Even though the room/resort is old/outdated at least you get the novelty of unique accommodation. The hillside pool is also beautiful.

Beautiful , tranquil a spot that you dream of .Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: It is right on the beach and the pools are very large .
Cons: The pool walls needed a bit of a scrub. that was the only poor thing really of notice. we had 5 days there and really enjoyed it. Perfect to relax .
Location: Very tranquil and away from the city. Still a lot to see a do there. Sarawak cultural village a must see only 3 walk away from resort .. Damai has K
Very tranquil and away from the city. Still a lot to see a do there. Sarawak cultural village a must see only 3 walk away from resort .. Damai small with a 7 Eleven 3 min walk from the resort and does have hawker like stands and a few restaurants and other small shops.. Cut through the resort to get there .. Check out the tree houses also in Permai resort just down the road...Kuching is about 45 mins away , and worth spending a day in little India , and china town worth a look and the riverfront . Santubong will give you a great insight to a village just a few kms away.

Rundown and sad.Posted Jul 24, 2014
Had a recent 2 night stay for a bit of R&R after a busy trip around Malaysia. Although not expensive we were expecting more from a resort. Looking tired and sorry for itself. Unfortunately second rate staff to go with it. Not the best Malaysia has to offer thats for sure.

Very good place for relaxing and unwinding stress.Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: The bed is comfortable. The beach is clean and the sea has pretty good waves for enjoyment.
Cons: Better to have an easier walk down to the reception. Many stairs built but closed.
Nice nature sound like birds/insects/ waves and children playing. Very soothing to the ears Nice cool breeze from the sea and the mountain. Even in the hot days is cool.

Beautiful viewPosted May 6, 2014
The Hotel is a bit old, but clean. Hotel staff was very friendly. The location is a bit outside from Kuching city, so not suitable for a Cityytrip, but perfect for relaxing at the beach.

Nice hotel & surroundingPosted May 6, 2014
Pros: The view. If you stay at Hilltop, you can see the sea view.
Cons: Room cleanliness. Has a small ants around the coffee bar.
Location: The location quite far from town. Near to the beach & Cultural Village.
Nice hotel, close to the beach. But not convenient for older - from lobby to room is too far & they need to climbed the stairs.

A good place to relax and unwindPosted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: A little different from the skyscraper blocks which most hotels seem to be. Very nice pool areas and magnificent views.
Cons: The shuttle service was good but the complex was quiet. The shuttle service could be a problem at busier times.
Location: A little out of the way but we went for relaxation. There is a booking facility for trips and the Sarawak cultural village is within 5minutes walk
After 4nights in Kuala Lumpa we wanted a few days to relax and this hotel provided just that. Being somewhat secluded the hotel could have taken advantage with the price of drinks and food but we found the prices to be quite fair. Bed linen and towels were changed when you requested and pool towels were provided. The staff were very pleasant and always ready to deal with your needs.
