Great hotel, hiding dolphins

Nice hotel, great location, only 5 min from the centre of the little town where you can find lots of great restaurants and bars. There was no big crowd on the beach that belongs to the hotel. The only thing what bothered us is that you need to pay for the sunbeds and umbrellas even if you're a guest of the hotel and pays quite a lot for the hotel room itself. World class breakfast with great variety of choices. Free wifi and lot of great facilities in the hotel. Nice and flexible staff. Many description about Vli Losinj suggest that you can easily meet dolphins there as there is a big reservatum for them, this can be misleading, there is a great (even if is small) exhibition about dolphins in the BlueWorld education centrer in the heart of Veli Losijn (5min walk from the hotel), however according to locals it is very rare that you can see them. Anyway, this is a great location to visit and a super hotel.

The hotel is very new, everything clean and shiny. Rooms a tiny bit on the small side but very adequate, each with balcony and most with view of the sea. Great bar/lounge with large terrace overlooking sea, islands, sunset and good selection of drinks, cakes. LAVISH buffet for all meals, and very good quality food. Smallish outdoor pool, but you have the beach with sun loungers (may get crowded in high season), small extra charge. Excellent exercise facilities and spa.

Hotel Punta

The hotel, as expected, being near the sea, had no air conditioning. However, the room, miniscule considering the cost, had no windows -- only a door opening onto a small terrace wiith 2 plastic chairs -- and the door to the terrace could not open more than a third of the way because the bed was in front of it! Also, no window in the bathroom -- we almost suffocated. Meals were included -- we weren't that concerned with the quality, because we knew we'd be taking some of our meals outside of the hotel. However, every meal was pretty much pork, pork, and more pork. Did these people never here of poultry or fish? Non-alcoholic beverages and some alcoholic beverages were also included, but if you wanted two of anything you had to present two room cards, so if you were at lunch and wanted a glass of wine and a glass of bottled water, or if someone from your table of four wanted to get drinks for everyone, two, three or four room cards had to be presented. I would rather have paid for the drinks and not had the incredible hassle this system caused when a number of people were waiting and each card had to be "swiped". Additionally, the several times we asked for directions from the front desk, the person either didn't know or gave us incorrect directions -- and my husband speaks both Italian and Croatian, in addition to English. Never again.

Adir il vero non c'e molto da dire dell'Hotel Punta perche' abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno molto gradevole e rilassante. In un ambiente molto ospitale e cordiale a tal punto da sentirsi a casa propria. Cibo in abbondanza e di buona qualita' per chi riserva la mezza pensione
