Good location, excellent hotel for travelling around Kyoto, within walking distance of activities also good bus service available.

We stayed for 6 nights. the room was surprisingly spacious by local stantdards.

“Understated hotel, reasonable”

Stayed at Aranvert, as my original intended hotels were fully booked. The staff were friendly and the rooms spacious and clean. Hotel approximately 5 minutes walk from Gojo subway station and 20-30mins stroll to the main JR rail station. Didn't really sample the hotel restaurants. More than adequate hotel for needs and would recommend it to other travellers who are not expecting 5 star luxury but simple hotel rooms with most amenities. Unfortunately No in-room safe.

“Nice low-budget hotel in good location”

I booked this hotel primarily based on location and price. The hotel is really easy to reach, just 1 subway station from Kyoto train station and 5 minutes easy walk. All mayor sightseing spots were easy to reach with subway and / or buses. The hotel was clean and nice. Unfortunately the TV had only one english speeking channel and internet in the room was only available via LAN cable, I would have hoped for WiFi so I could have read my emails on my Smart Phone. Overall good experience.

“Good location, good hotel”

Location is great. 1 stop to Tokyo station and on the subway line to the main attractions. People speak english and quite helpful. hotel as not real charme. It is a business hotel with international service. Room are OK. small (but we are in japan) with basic functionality. No luxury, nothing fancy. Public batch on the top floor quite nice and very clean. Supermarket 2 minutes walk

clean ,but not so confortable,5 minutes to the subway, fit for japanese travellers, staff speaks mostly japanese

“Nice stay”

We stayed here because everything else was sold out or extremely expensive. Good location, very friendly and trustwhorty front desk staff, small but nice and clean room. It really served it's purpose, since Kyoto is such a nice city that you will not be in the room but to sleep. Good choice.

“Nice, clean hotel, with fun robes!”

We were in Kyoto for a weekend and only spent one night at the Aranvert Hotel Kyoto. The location was easy to access from the subway, if you get off at the right stop. The hotel is very clean, and spacious. We were so busy sightseeing, that we only spent the 1 night at the hotel, getting in late and leaving early the next morning. Our luggage spent more time there than we did. The room was comfortable and big enough for the 3 of us, as we each had our own bed. The fun part was the kimona style robe & jacket that was provided w/slippers to access the baths. The staff was efficient and helpful with directions. There are no brochures for sites to see and things to do. We had to go to the Tourist Information Center at Kyoto Station for that. I was disappointed that there was no wifi, as I thought that there would be. All and all, the Aranvert was a good stay and I would recommend it.

“Love it!”

This hotel is fantastic! The staff is so kind and very efficient. The location was great in that the subway station (Gojo station) was literally a 2 minute walk away. It was easy to explore the city with the station being so nearby. There is an internet cafe that's one block north so it was easy to stay connected when necessary. The room itself was clean and there was enough space for all of us (3 girls in a double with an extra twin bed). The only not so good thing was that the immediate area around the hotel wasn't very interesting. However, overall, I highly recommend this hotel!

“Good for the price”

Convenient location, while not in the city center it was close to the bus route which is essential for Kyoto.
