“Great hotel”
Great hotel right on the subway line. Not downtown near all the sights but a quick walk to the subway line and easy access to everything. Surrounding area is a park and is very quiet, nestled in the foothills of Mt. Hiei. Staff is very helpful and courteous. I have traveled extensively in Japan and this hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. Great service for the price!
“great hotel in a beautiful setting”
The hotel is located in the north-east section of Kyoto - a beautiful setting with lots of greens in the area and mountains as a backdrop. It is walking distance (5 min) to the Kyoto International Conference Center (a gorgeous venue for meetings) and also close to a subway station, from which you can take a 20 min ride to go to center Kyoto (Gion conner etc). The hotel itself is pretty and very nicely maintained, with rooms as big as comparable hotels in U.S. and views of the conference center and mountains. The only drawback is that there is no wifi service. You can only pay a fee to connect through ethernet in the room.
“Best Hotel in Kyoto”
We stayed on the Royal Floor of the Grand Prince and loved it. Fantastic, large, comfortable room overlooking trees and a koi pond. We then moved to another hotel that was recommended by Fodors as the best in Kyoto for a business meeting. arly second class compared to the Grand Prince. We were longing for our room at the Grand Prince the whole time we were at the Westin. The Prince is on the outskirts of the city and is the last stop on the very convenient subway line.
“Very nice rooms, good service, easy to get to”
The room was big and had a very nice and big bed. Bathroom has everything you need and was very clean. The neighborhood is quiet, residential area with not too much traffic. The subway station is just about 50m from the Hotel entrance, the train ride to the center/train station only takes 10-15 min. and is a lot cheaper than a taxi. Do not take the bus since the bus ride takes around an hour from main train station to Hotel. I can highly recommend the Hotel, but I do however not recommend to have their breakfast since it is overpriced (about USD 35). Our deal was very cheap since breakfast was not included.
“wonderful hotel”
The Park Hotel Tokyo exceeded our expectations. The views are great, the rooms are surprisingly large and efficiently laid out, shower was great, staff were wonderful.
“Surroundings to die for”
we read a previous review on this hotel which said they paid the extra and stayed on the royal floor. we did the same and it was worth the small amount extra.probably the best room we have ever stayed in. the area was so fantastic. a very different contrast to the rest of japan. love to stay there again.
“Excellent Experience in Kyoto”
Beautiful, spacious, and quiet rooms! My most enjoyable hotel stay in numerous visits to Japan over the last several years.
“Excellent hotel in Kyoto”
This is an excellent hotel located far from city center in a very attractive park. Getting to and from the hotel to the city is quite easy, with a subway station only a few hundred meters walk from the front door of the hotel. The rooms are large and well maintained. Breakfast is just "OK". We ate all of our meals outside the hotel and thus can't comment on their restaurants.
