I think it's great. Although it's inside an ally so you can't get to the door by taxi

Excellent local.

Cons: No space for big baggage.
Location: Shopping arcade, restaurants, 24 hour store and bus stops nearby. This hotel is in the centre of Kyoto.
Friendly staff at reception willing to help and advise. We definitely will stay here again.

Great location, within 10min to train station. Hotel has it's own laundromat. Brand new modern room and bathroom - stunning facilities. Staff are wonderful. Best hotel I have stayed in.

So So

Strange place... seems to have all the room windows covered up with paper screens... no natural light! Must be a nasty view outside!

Great location!

This hotel is centrally located. Great shopping, great restaurants, and just a short walk to Pontocho. Room is a nice size for Japan.

Hotel walking distance to Kamo-Gawa river.

Posted May 31, 2014
Pros: It's central location is a major factor in staying at this hotel.
Centrally located and easy access to some major attractions and restaurants. The Kamo Gawa river is about a 5 minutes walk with Starbucks located right there. Coming from Tokyo on the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Kyoto station was a major experience. Unfortunately the hotel is too far to walk from the station but there are taxi ranks at the station readily available.

Good Location, Modern and Clean

Posted May 18, 2014
Pros: Location, modern decor, free wi-fi in room.
Cons: We could not bring up the hotel's location on Google maps. The subway station has a map listing a Best Western hotel and that is how we found it.
Location: Starbucks down the street, a great pizza restaurant also nearby as well as many sushi and noodle shops.
We wanted to stay in downtown Kyoto and selected the hotel for the location and pricing. It was easy to get to many shrines from the bus stop just half a block away. Our room looked like it had just been renovated, everything was new, clean and the most comfortable bed so far on our trip. We were on the fifth floor, no view, but very quiet. There was no restaurant available on-site, but there are so many restaurants and shops in every direction it was not a problem. Just ask the staff what you want and they will be able to direct you to it. Their English was good and they were very helpful.
