“Adriana Legorreta”

Excellent hotel... very clean, people are very nice ...and I think is a reasonable price... just in front of Nijo castle... if you have luck and arrive on weekend you might see a traditional japanese wedding at the hotel... is in a good zone I think... I highly recommend it... I was expecting closer to JR Nijo Station... but no... is near Nijojo mae subway station... if you are Rail pass holder beter get off in Kyoto Station and if you are taking more than 3 buses in a day... you should buy bus card pass and a bus can leave you infront of the hotel...

“Great hotel, good location”

The hotel is staffed by very polite, courteous, English-speaking staff (but it seems that everyone is polite in Japan anyway). The location is excellent, right across the famous Nijo Castle and on a main avenue with many convenient bus lines. My room was clean, comfortable. The only downside is that the wifi in the lobby is very slow and unreliable, but there are computers with Internet access for about 100 yens for every 10 minutes.

“Highly recommended”

The hotel is very nice with a garden viewable from the hotel restaurant. The room was quite spacious for Japan with a very large bathroom. The hotel staff was very helpful. The restaurant closes at 8 pm but there is a lounge which stays open longer. There is also a large giftshop. The hotel is directly accross from Nijo Castle and the bus stops close to the front of the hotel. I was able to get a discounted rate but I still think this hotel is well worth the normal nightly rate.

“Great stay”

Good and not too expensive hotel near Nijo Castle. Breakfast at the neighbouring cafe is wonderfull. They are not equipped for children but the service is ok.

“Clean, don't worry, you can choose..”

Hotel has two restorant. Sushi and other. Careful about prices. Mini bar was empty. But each floor has vending machine.

“May choose again,”

A room was a bit too smaller than expected, Bed was hard and No room temp controller. Other than that, everything was great !

“For efficiency, this is good.”

For an impersonal hotel in a town noted for intimacy, this hotel is efficient; it works. Location is a bit inconvenient, and Horikawa is not pedestrian friendly, but that may be offset by cleanliness and good maintenance of the hotel. Front desk staff is among the least friendly ever, though.

“dissapointed”

I was given a smoking room, and I can't stand the smell. TV was absolutely dissapoinitng (no channels in English), and very poor selection on Japanese channels. it is far from Kyoto downtown.
