Friendly, helpful staff. Very convenient location, close to Gion district, Nishiki market, and major train lines. Very limit option for breakfast buffet, so we didn’t peruse it except for one day. Room is slightly smaller that other places in Japan.
The rooms and attached bathrooms are poorly designed. Shockingly, there wasn't a single chest of drawers or anything like even a closet where one could store clothes. When one stays for several days, it's common to put the suitcase away after taking out the clothes that one plans to use. One couldn't do that there since there was neither any closet nor any drawers, The bathrooms had no hooks to hang clothes. Totally unacceptable considering the hefty price tag that came with this hotel.
What a great place to stay! Very easy to get to and within walking distance of the river and subways. Great central location to stay. Breakfast was also very nice and accommodating to everyone's taste.
Hotel was great, clean, and located right beside amazing shopping and dinning locations. With how many food options in the surrounding area, didn't eat at the hotel.
Only down side was due it its prime location, expect to hear night life to about midnight. Nothing too excessive, but something to note.
The staff were very helpful from the time we checked in to once we left and I left my reading glasses they arranged to mail my glasses to our next hotel and they made it very easy. Thank you
Great location and very comfortable rooms. I got there right after flying into Osaka from the States, a long bus ride, and trying to navigate the subways for the very first time. I was extremely pleasantly surprised when I got to the hotel. Hands down one of the best parts of my trip so far.
My husband and I liked staying at this hotel due to how close it was to Shibuya scramble and crossing . The room was clean. Only issue I had was that the lobby sometimes smelled like cigarettes and the building was really old but other than that the stay was comfortable.
I enjoyed my stay here and will be staying here in the future. Near the subway and markets nearby are walkable. Room was bigger than the one in Haneda airport
Great stay, the rooms are comfortable and clean. Very central location, close to Nishiki Market and the main shopping street. Heaps of food options around.
The rooms are decent size, and has all the basic amenities required. I do believe for the price you pay, they should consider adding in complimentary breakfast.
Staff wonderful. Helped my husband retrieve his luggage that he forgot on a train from Nagano. It was delivered to the hotel 2 days later. We wouldn’t have even known where to start inquiring. Rooms small but clean and set up well. Breakfast delicious and convenient for an additional price. Walkable to many sights, restaurants and shopping. Loved our time there.
This is my second stay in this hotel. I love the location - close to Gion on one side and the markets on the other, with buses nearby for all the major sites. Food is everywhere. The room is carpeted and tastefully decorated, and the beds and linen are good quality. My only (very minor) issue was lack of bench space and towel rails in the bathroom.
Good value. Easy walk to buses and stations. Walkable to Gion or Ponchoto. Stuff is excellent with good restaurant recommendations. The only downside is limited breakfast buffet options.
