“Great if you are not tourists”

This aparthotel is quite good if you don't mind its out of the central district, non-touristic location. The building construction, the rooms, the cleanliness, and comfort are quite satisfactory, though the location and surrounding is nothing to be excited about. We had difficulty finding this hotel by following what was indicated on the Google map. We actually overshot the hotel (walking with our luggage) by 1 km because that is what the map indicated where we should go. Now we realize Google map could not recognize the address of the hotel, but arbitrarily gave a location on the same street in the same city. It is surrounded by residential apartments, main traffic arteries, and parking lots. It does have a functional kitchenette for simple meal preparation. in fact, we used it every night we stayed. However, lacking supermarket nearby is a draw back for this otherwise fine aparthotel. We'd have to plan ahead, remembering to buy the necessaries before returning from a day's visit. If we had to go to the nearest store, it will cost two metro tickets and an hour worth of traffic.

“very recommended!”

We stayed at the apart hotel Hesperia suites (separated building near by the big Hesperia tower) and it was great! very convenience, organized, clean – quite big room includes kitchen with all needed instruments, 2 TV’s in the room, minibar, sofa and more. The hotel services were great – free WIFI, free shuttle to the city center each day and back to the airport. The way to the center of Barcelona took us only 10 mins with the shuttle & 20 mins with the metro (very convenience). We were very pleased and we recommend this hotel!

“Great Value and immaculate”

The Fira Suites were outstanding. Check in was easy and staff friendly and knowledgeable. The location may not be in the center of Barcelona but we liked that....lots of park land around to walk in and a chance to see everyday people living their lives with their families. Not too much shopping around, but again that gave us a break to enjoy the peace and quiet. Convenient to be at the end of the Metro line. The Kitchenette was great for making quick breakfasts and good dinners. A great deal - at home we would have to pay at least triple the cost per night for a place like this! I am going to book there again for me next visit to Barcelona!

“Not Impressed”

As a five star resort I expected better service from the hotel staff, especially during the check-in process. The staff member at reception was not able to locate my reservation, delaying the process until another staff member was able to assist. They did not have enough clean rooms upon arrival so we had to wait even longer. The hotel is located close to the airport but a 15 minute drive from the city center. To avoid the cost of cabs, it was an often 25 minute train ride into town. Therefore, you have to take into account the extra cost of traveling into the city everyday. There were high additional fees for extra amenities such as WiFi and the gym. Also, the hotel itself was garish, it did not fit in with the surrounding area, I would not return.

“great little apartment for the price”

The room rate was great but food and drink were very expensive. The suites are little apartments so bring your food with you.

“Not Impressed”

This is a 2 1/2 star hotel at best not a 5 star. The reception area had filthy carpeting and the chairs that the guest were to sit in had rips all over the seating (I counted rips on 5 chairs) and they were dirty. I was supposed to be close to the airport but I guess the word (close) is a relative term. The reception area was in a different building than where the rooms were so you had to walk out in the weather to go to it and the restaurant. The heat did not work in our room and when I called over to the other building they told us that people in Spain like it at that temperature. They did offer to take us to another room but told us that it would probably be the same in that room too. They offered to bring an extra blanket to the room for my daughter and I so I guess that was an effort. They told us about the free shuttle so my daughter and I took the shuttle into the city. They failed to tell us that the shuttle was a One-Way shuttle and that we would be stranded out there. We learned that after we had gotten off and called back to the hotel to see where to catch the shuttle (Nice). We will go back to Spain but I will NEVER go back to that hotel and I will book my own hotel with a chain that I am familiar with.

Decent hotel,but far far far away from everything,even there is a shuttle which is going to airport and city centre (free).

Beautiful hotel! Everything you expect in 5* hotel at a 3* price and more!! We stayed at the suite which had a kitchen which was very handy. The hotel is next to subway station and we did not miss being away from the downtown areas. The only issue we had was free shuttle to Airport was only available after 7 am and we had an early flight.

“ugly treap”

Hesperia Fira is most definately not a five star hotel as advertised. It was in a pretty poor shape. Furniture was chipped and very old. There were no shampoos or conditioners There was only one shower door in the bathroom and all the water was on the floor and toilet paper and when we told the front desk about it they ignored us. We wanted to have a non-smoking room so we were stuck with twin beds because all the king size rooms were smoking. There was no staff in the hotel, everything was in the next hotel (Hesperia Towers) which was five star. The kitchen was barely stacked with utencils. The hotel was at least half hour away from city center.
