Location: Not much to do in hotel area, but metro nearby and can be anywhere in Barcelona in minutes.

Love it here :)Posted Nov 9, 2013
Pros: The rooms are great, clean and modern and also have great views and the beds are super comfy. Excellent value for price paid.
Cons: The food in room service is quite expensive!! Had to request free hot water instead of paying the $6 euros they request in the menu.
Location: Not much to do nearby that I know of but a taxi to the port or to the bottom of Rambla street costs around 25 euros. Its right by a metro station too.
I've stayed here in this hotel several times now and it is great each time. The staff is very helpful to me and my daughter (2years) as we are always by ourselves with alot of luggage.

Great hotel close to the train!Posted Nov 4, 2013
The hotel was great!!! it is very close to the train that takes you to downtown Barcelona, which is only 15 min away, also closer to the airport which is why we chose to stay here....we decided last minute to buy the breakfast since it was only like 15 euros per person, and let me tell you we had the best buffet!!! definitely recommending and staying again!

Location: It is located close to cruise terminal and can reach Barcelona metro by a local train, which feels like part of the metro system.
This hotel is new, high quality, comfortable and clear like a 5-star hotel.

Futuristic but reasonably pricedPosted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: The size of the rooms and the modern decor
Cons: A coffee machine in the room would be a welcome addition
Location: The hotel is situated in a business district a little way from the city centre but is accessible by Metro
I stayed here after going to the football at the Nou Camp

A very comfortable and attractive hotel.Posted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: Innovative building design; fine bar and restaurant; proximity to the airport; great view of Barcelona from our room window; free Internet;
Cons: The Porta Fira lacks a gift ship. Our washroom lacked face cloths, and the shower stall design leaked water into the room.
Location: The hotel is located in an industrial neighborhood, a short distance from shopping and tourist sites. A bus ride costs 2€ and is easy to navigate.
Our group had booked the Hotel Porta Fira for the Saturday night between the end of our cruise and our flight back to Canada. We lunched at Tickets, a highly recommended restaurant just a short bus ride from the Porta Fira, and had a late dinner in the hotel restaurant. Our room was very clean and efficiently appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. Despite, or more likely because of it's location in an industrial neighbourhood, the hotel and the surrounding area were very quiet and my wife and I slept well. The staff was friendly and efficient, and arranged a wake-up call for 3:30 am. and a taxi to the airport for 4:30 am. It cost 25€ for 4 adults plus luggage. All-in-all, a brief stay at the Porta Fira with no problems provided a nice respite prior to our return flights to Canada.

Nice hotel at a good price pointPosted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: Nice large clean rooms and great front desk staff.
Cons: Improve the partitions between the bedroom and bathrooms.
Location: Not very close to any tourist areas but very close to a subway stop. A very nice shopping mall is 2 blocks away and has numerous options for dining.
Booked this hotel last minute to stay a few extra days after a cruise. The area hotel prices were extremely high in the tourist areas and this was a good cheaper alternative. It is not really convenient to the popular tourist areas but one block from a subway station and a nice shopping mall with several restaurant options. Staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. Rooms were large, very clean, and modern. Only complaint is the glass partition/doors between the room and bathroom. The glass is frosted but does little to drowned out any sound or light.

Ok hotel if a staying for business or conferencePosted Sep 7, 2013
Cons: Well trained staff. Being able to speak english at a hotel in Barcelona close to its international airport is a must
Location: Best for doing nothing, or going to the shopping mall and getting rubbed!
Very staff dependent service. First day the woman at the reception did not care if I am satisfied with the room( obstructed view with an office building) but a gentlman working there made every effort to find a better room for me. On the second day of my stay at 4 pm, I was resting in my room when a woman entered the room after knoking once-before I let her in- speaking in spanish, saying she is sorry but she has to check the minibar!!! After 3 nights stay, I had to change my clothes after I checked out. I asked at the lobby if there is a place like a courtesy room where I can do that. The woman there offered me to use the spa( they mean a small room with 3-4 exercise mashines, but the man at the desk refused that in a very rude manner. So I was the bathroom!!! That, together with being rubbed at the adjacent shopping mall on the same day, made me hate the area and the hotel.
