Pros: As above
Location: Very famous pilgrimage destination. An ancient beautiful city with many great eating places and tapas bars.
Within walking distance of the sights in Santiago. Staff very helpful and professional.

One terrible staff member

Original stay was great other than an uncorrectable wifi issue in room 202. Second stay the room they put us in had a tiny bath tub. When I very politely asked the front desk for a room with a normal sized bath, *she rolled her eyes* and was obviously put off. She proceeded to put me in a room in a different building that hadn't been opened up in a month or more. I told her we would find another hotel, to which she smiled and said okay goodbye. The hotel was otherwise just "okay".

Great location for visiting the old quarter and very close to a public car park. Another bonus was the lovely rear garden. We will stay again.

Pleasant and convenient

Pros: Helpful staff with good English
Location: Close to outdoor market, cathedral etc. via stairway
Charming and convenient location although parking is a bit of hike. The staff was friendly and helpful with excellent English. Room was fine--not large, but it is an historic building. It would have been nice to have a comfortable chair. Other than a couple of chips in the bathtub everything was perfect.

end of Compostela

This hotel is in a grand building, convenient for the old town and the room was large & comfortable. There was large windows opening to back of building, so was quiet (I believe the rooms at the front get lots of noise floating across from a bar or nightclub). The air-conditoning carried the smell of smoke from some other part of the hotel, which made it very unpleasant to have on. Luckily the window gave me an option for this.

A friendly, English proficient, staff. Beautiful rooms and a wonderful buffet breakfast. Free internet access in their business center. Lovely public rooms to sit and relax in.
