We arrived at Chateau Les Bardons together with my sister in law and here husband. My sister in law turned 50 this year and she did not know that someone else was coming. She expected that we were going on a holiday with the 4 of us. Great large house and we all were looking forward to the week holiday together. The pool, the house and each other. Just a relax week without work and stress. It was the week that my sister in law was turning 50 and she did not know that here husband had invited the family as well for the week. A complete surprise for her. So here daughter and her boyfriend popped up just after we arrived. She was surprised and happy that the were there as well. Not knowing that here other daughter and her boyfriend were on the way to France coming back after a year back packing. Here mother and her mother in law arrived during the late afternoon what made the party almost complete. The fun was that no body knew about the others, therefor everybody was surprised about the others and my sister in low was the most surprised of all. How much fun we all had that all of us kept a secret for each other that they were invited. When a dear family friend of here arrived at Chateau Les Bardons the party was complete. Together with the group we enjoyed the week holiday. The diversity of the group made this stay a true memory. The pool was wonderful and the weather was unbelievable. We have had a catering organizing diners so we all could enjoy the most out of it. The owners advised us 2 different caterers and we tried both. This was very well done and for that price we preferred to stay at the pool side. During the days we walked a bit in the area but the Chateau is so bog that we did not had the feeling to go out at all. But of course we did to get the fresh croissants from La Pacaudiere. A nice walk to get them and a cafe to celebrate the day. During the week we toured as well a bit around but each time we were happy to be back. a nice glass of champagne on the pool side, with some local appetizers we found on the different markets. We enjoy the spending time together. We would like to thank the owners again for having us at there Chateau. What a wonderful place Chateau Les Bardons is and how wonderful the house is decorated. We are definitely sure we are coming back to stay again. You never know when you make a memory but during that week we all knew we made a memory that we would never forget and treasure for ever in our harts.
