La Riba Vacations
Many of Costa Daurada’s most interesting sights are close to La Riba, so it is a great place to base yourself while you are in town. Two attractions that should be on every visitor’s itinerary is the wonderful Celler Mas Foraster and the ever-popular Santa Maria la Major de Montblanc. And if your schedule allows, be sure to visit the Monastery of Poblet and the Bodega Castillo de Milmanda.
To really understand Costa Daurada, take a trip to one of its fabulous cultural destinations. Spend a quiet afternoon browsing the exhibits at the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona in Tarragona and the Paleo-Christian Necropolis and Museum.
When it’s time escape the city, visit one of the many nearby green spaces. Walk along the coastal destinations nearby such as Levante Beach in Salou, Cambrils Beach in Cambrils and Ponent Beach.
A number of Costa Daurada’s attractions are in La Riba, such as Tarragona Cathedral in Tarragona, the Plaza de la Font and the Arc de Bera in Roda de Bara. For those who enjoy history, Costa Daurada’s past comes vividly back to life at the Porta de Sant Antoni in Tarragona and the Tarraco Roman Theater.
Take time out from the sights and indulge in a game of golf at the Port Aventura Golf Course in Salou.
To shop for local fashion and buy some souvenirs, visit the Central Park Shopping Center in Tarragona and the Carrefour Commercial Center.
After a long day discovering the sights, sounds and smells of La Riba, rest up in one of the area’s popular bed-and-breakfasts, hotels or short-stay apartments. Whether you’re staying for a night or a few weeks check out the Mercure Atenea Aventura, Vila-Seca, the Hotel SB Ciutat de Tarragona, and the popular Sol Costa Daurada, Salou.
