"Amazing resort, spotless and well designed"
I have travelled extensively and this resort impressed me with the consistent and beautiful design, great landscape, attention to detail and great customer service. It is a very large resort consisting of many private properties and public areas full of restaurants, shops, hotel, beach and yacht marina. Highly recommended for couples, honeymoon and place to relax in luxury.

Nice place. Clise to beach. Didn't include breakfast, but still nice. Would definitely prefer if breakfast is included. Received a room upgrade.

"Nice hotel, nice staff"
Staff and hotel are nice, the pros is the great service, staff and the all inclusive food and drink the cons is that there is 0 water activities available, and the beach is not super nice because of its proximity to a river near by. So if you want to do anything else other than eat and drink you have to pay for the extras.

"Beautiful and Comfortable Property"
We only stayed for the night but it was a special stay. Upon check in we didn't receive a welcome drink as I'm accustomed to getting but this was okay. We stayed in the newer block 19 in a beautiful superior deluxe room. Unfortunately our comforter was noticeably dirty with a few stains here and there and it was also ripped at the bottom. What an eyesore. Of course one of the most annoying things about this property was the lack of free wifi. It makes it hard to communicate. We enjoyed the bar that was off to the side of the main area. Less traffic and attentive bartenders like Diorky waiting to make your stay memorable. The pool is phenomenal. Huge so it never felt crowded. We went down on the later side and were able to get prime chairs. The beach is also gorgeous. White sand, blue water. Plenty of chairs and a bar nearby. We got pulled into a presentation/conversation about a timeshareish lifestyle holiday club where you can travel the world as a vip paying almost nothing prices. Sounds good but we weren't in the position to make a decision involving such a major investment and of course with everything, I like to be able to do my own independent research before committing to something. Especially, if it sounds too good to be true. We spoke about the program with Gabriel. He was great and we enjoyed the conversation and tour of vip services. However, at the end Francis, the director, became very pushy in trying to make the sale. All in all, a good time in Bayahibe.

"Great beach, great food, friendly staff"
A very good hotel, good for families, food is good, nad the beach is great, it's a little quite for my taste, maybe it needs a little more of activities. It's frequent by a older crowd. Staff is friendly.

"Great Resort!"
This is a relatively small resort with just one large pool and a smaller beach. Everything is well within walking distance. It is very nice, clean and well kept. Beautiful Gardens. Also most of the employees are very friendly. There are a few mosquitoes but they were not really a problem because I saw employees spraying a couple of times. My family had a wonderful time. We traveled in a large group of two families plus my mom and best friend. There were a total of 5 kids among us, ranging in ages from 1 to 6. The kids had a great time. Kids under 6 are free here so it was a plus. Also the pool was great as it had a very gradual entrance for small children. Even my one year old was walking about in the shallow area (supervised of course! ) There are 3 restaurants as well as the main buffet. The restaurants included a steakhouse, a place that focused on Dominican and carribean cuisine and an Italian restaurant. All are good but my favorite was the Dominican place. Great food. Also all were very nice looking but still kid friendly! The beach is beautiful with gorgeous blue waters. We booked the privileged status and it was worth it! Our rooms were very nice. I also loved the Terrace restaurant by the beach....only for privileged guest. The pizzeria was also good. There is also a kids club but it is for 4 and up. Also lots of Europeans here (so beware of some smoking on premises). Overall had a great time and would totally recommend to friends.

"In Cabana Elke you can feel right at home!"
Very peaceful place, with friendly staff. A humble environment, makes you feel like you're at some relative's beach house. You can sleep all day if you want and you will not be disturbed. Everything is clean and simple. There is a very nice pool which is usually empty for you. You can grab a a bike (for free) and go for a spin around town. Everything is different from big hotels where I sometimes feel like treated as an intruder.

"Excellent Resort."
Although the resort is smaller than some of the giant ones that exist, The Grand Bahia Principe – La Romana is excellent. Due to the size, the attention to details is greatly acknowledged compared to others that suffer because things and issues are often overlooked. The food was great, the people were friendly and the overall experience was excellent. I highly recommend this resort.

"Soak it up!!"
Beautifully situated, great facilities. Our room was on the third floor of a building straddling Beach Resort & Palace. Stones throw from gorgeous coconut palm lined waters shaped in a crescent. From the 2nd day, the elevator broke down – so it became a walkup. Opt for the buffet (La Roca/ La Terraza). IF you go for the a la carte, prepare for mediocrity. People are friendly, except for that number receiving guests at the Mexican restaurant in the evenings – aloof, disinterested, discourteous, unsmiling robot with mascara. Enough activities going on, topped up by nightly parties. The bars serve up a mean caiparinha. Unsure on the point of the concierge, who only direct you into the maws of the Viva Club, who will regale you with 2 hours trying to sell exorbitantly priced timeshare program down your throat – really needs to go easy on the hardsell. Don’t expect much on the pay-extras (massage, pay restaurants, etc.). We took a couple of excursions through Expedia, to Santo Domingo (amazing), and Catalina (gorgeous). This is a great place to soak up the sun and unwind – you don’t have to buy the extras to feel good…
