I really like the garden all around the property, well maintained daily, I notice lot of cleaning staff working tirelessly to keep the property neat and clean. I also like the entertainment side of the place. Security always on guard to secure the property.

Checking in was smooth and quick. However, when we got to our room, it wasn't exactly the oceanview we paid for. The reservation staff had me walking from room to room throughout the property to identify an oceanview room. After viewing approximately four rooms, we eventually found one, which was one of the last buildings at the end of the property. (This property is huge) The room was significantly smaller than the first room we were offered. We also had to wait for staff to add a foldout bed for my teenager in the final room we selected. But, the initial room had beds to accommodate two adults and a teenager. Additionally, our AC did not work at first, but the matter was addressed. However, it made a loud noise, making it difficult to sleep at times. This was our first time visiting the continent, and....we refused to allow what occurred to spoil our trip. Frankly, the restaurant and activity staff singlehandedly saved our trip. Both teams are exceptional, and it shows by the way they treat guest. The grounds of this property are beautiful and maintained daily. We felt safe and enjoyed the pool and ocean. The rooms can do with lots of upgrading. Overall, our stay was okay. May I suggest having images in the office for guests to see what rooms are oceanview. Spending approximately 40 minutes going back and forth after a 10 hour flight wasn't exactly fun.

I booked four rooms for our whole family; we stayed right before Tabaski and I understand usually after this period it is really busy; I am taking time to review Royal Baobab because it is exactly what I expected and beyond; From Binta at the front desk who managed to get me a closer room, to the staff everywhere, Mr Dos Santos who we met in the dining area; the maintenance of this property is huge and everywhere we went it was clean, beautiful; the beauty of this part of Senegal is just something to treasure; it kept all the culture; the food was a variety of Senegalese dish and European; the rooms kept really nice not too luxurious but slightly rustic and very cleaned; I was taking my 15!year old for the first time; it was truly amazing; the entertainment at night with the group responsible of it was just exceptional! Thanks so very much for staying true to the tradition!

I can see why people rave about the buffet because it’s nice to have options. The staff was very uninviting upon check-in and put me in a room on the second floor of a building that was sooo far from main building. I realized I had paid for an upgrade and was able to be moved. The bathroom was sooooo small and not appealing at all. Beds were hard as a rock. Other than the front desk staff the rest of the staff was very friendly. We were able to for jet skiing and riding quads right beside the property.

The hotel is very well managed and maintained, with nice gardens and beaches. Some activities like catamaran are rare in Senegal and were a big plus to us. The location is great. The restaurant is also of very good quality compared with others, with diverse choices. The staff was also very nice overall.

I used to go to this property, the standards have drastically decreased: - the beach is now very dirty - the swimming pools water is not clean and one was closed for several days - food quality decreased, fruits were tasty, cooked dishes were mediocre - some of the staff were unfriendly, almost impolite Is it because of covid? For sure I am not ready to go back to the Baobab, which is unfortunate because it was one of our favourite hotel

Great Place for vacations. The only issue is that Mask wearing is not a law in Senegal. Therefore, it is difficult to ensure all customers wear mask. However, all staffs wear masks sometimes incorrectly.

Everything was amazing the only suggestion I want to add is to allow customer pick up towels from the bar area on the back pool it doesn’t make sense to walk all the way up to the front to ask for a towel, otherwise the food and cleanliness is excellent love it love it will come back soon.

Great relaxing holiday !
Great resort! The landscape is amazing, the atmosphere is relaxing. The food is good, the room is of good quality not luxurious though. Staff is service-minded! There are two pools in two different locations! I will certainly go back!

Beautiful place with lots to do. Food and accommodations were very good. However no internet in any of the rooms only at reception and bars. Often very poor. Have to pay to use the safe even though they say they are not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Staff is very cold and at times rude if you come early as they are very tough on using facilities if you do not have an arm band yet. Visitors of guests are not welcome. We had a guard follow us when our friends who dropped us off were there for a few minutes looking around. However, once the red arm band was on there reaction to people changed instantly.

J'étais avec ma femme enceinte et on m'a donné une chambre au deuxième étage et au fond de l'hotel et sans électricité. Je suis parti à la reception et J'ai demandé que l'on me change de chambre et on m'a donné un second clé puis je suis allé chercher la chambre dans la jungle. Quand j'ai vu que c'était petite j'ai décidé de rester dans la première chambre en attendant que l'on me ramène l'électricité. Au bout de quelques minutes j'ai encore essayé d'appelé la réception mais le fixe de la chambre ne marchait pas. Je suis encore sorti de la chambre pour aller à la reception. Là on me fait savoir que l’électricité disjonctai à chaque fois que la clim est allumé. Puis ils m'ont encore proposé une autre chambre. Je n'ai pas vraiment apprécié ces vas et viens que j'ai fait le jour même de mon arrivé.

The location is excellent but there are some issue
The location on the lagoon is absolutely beautiful and kayaking was excellent. It would have been better if the watersports person told us that the tide would be too low to kayak the first time we signed up. Not sure why they didn't. The staff in that area seemed rather disengaged. The rooms are just okay here, the bathrooms could really use some work. They would be fine at a lower priced facility but for this price I think that the rooms could be a little nicer. Paying extra for the use of the safe seems a little petty. I totally understand if you lost the key but using the safe should be included in the room price. Front desk staff is very nice and the food is good.

We loved our stay and are definitely going back! Wish dinner was a bit earlier (with kids) but, at 19h15-19h30 start, it is one of the earliest in the area. A lot of shallow pools for the kids. Long sprawling beaches. Next time we really want to try a beachfront hut!!

"French" hotel in Senegal
A great place to get away and unwind, if you're into the all-inclusive hotel experience. Tons of activities, entertainment, nice beach, several pools, and a very good buffet meals. It seems like a great place to take older children, as they have a lot of activities to keep them busy as well. Staff at reception and in the back office were very nice and accommodating, but with a few of exceptions, the rest of the staff were pretty unimpressive: Sneering, rude, and dismissive are three adjectives that best describe them. Not hostile, but stereotypically "French." And that's fine, but know that all that money you're shelling out for this place is not for the staff to be nice to you. Having said that, we will probably go back.
