Nice Hotel and neighbourhoodPosted Feb 17, 2015
Cons: better direction on parking off site - free on street - save on cost
Location: local south american food - must try nearby Flushing - free parking on shopping mall and great local chinese food
Stayed at a different part of NYC - surrounded by cultural feature and great local food minutes walk from metro - yes, 30-40min ride in - but its a scenic route on its own

Nice hotel near the airportPosted Feb 17, 2015
I stayed here for night, the bed was very comfortable. The room was pretty big for a 1 king bed room. The hotel is located near a major highway and it is near la guardia airport.

No shelf space in the bathroom for toiletries. Walls are thin and regular volume conversation can be heard between rooms. Shower water pressure a bit on the weak side. The staff was great. The pool was heated and well maintained. Easy access to hotel. Hotel bed was great...adequate room without being tiny. Restaurant and bar very good. Easy street parking makes the parking cost cheap.

Nice hotel, is near the train in case you want to move around... Not much to eat around you need to take the train. BREAKFAST in the hotel was great!!

Holiday Inn LaGuardiaPosted Jan 27, 2015
Cons: The grouting had mold in a couple of spot in the tub area.
When I arrived at LaGuardia I called the hotel to ask about the shuttle. The front desk explained that I could catch it by going up to arrivals and standing next to the airline sign. I got there and the shuttle was waiting. They run every 20 minutes 24/7. Very helpful. The staff is pleasant. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The grout in the bathtub could have used some bleach in a couple of spots. The attached restaurant has good food.

Staff was great, very friendly. We arrived quite early. They accomodated us with early check in. Not crazy about location, but you get what you pay for.

Nice, but neighborhood iffyPosted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: The hotel is located in an iffy neighborhood. Always felt like I was going to be mugged walking from the 111th St Station to the hotel.
Cons: Change new carpeting in the hallways. It makes the entire hotel seem really dirty and run down, when in fact the rooms are nice and clean.
Location: It's located in the poor side of town. Dangerous to walk to and from the MTA station to hotel. Easily mugged or attack. Unsafe part of town.
The hotel is located just couple minutes from LGA, which is nice and the airport shuttle is nice too. Ovearall the experience was good. It is close to New York MTA station 111th St Station. So catch number 7 to Times Square. Super easy.
