Good value at a reasonable price

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: The price was right. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was ample and included in the cost.
Cons: The breakfast area could have been cleaned up faster. The internet was slow.
Location: The lakes region of New Hampshire is beautiful.
Our family stayed at the Landmark Inn for one night. The room was clean and furnished with two beds, a microwave and a refrigerator. The hotel provided a roll-away bed free of charge.

Close to Meadowbrook Pavilion

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Convenience of location.
Cons: Room upgrading ... especially due to stale smoke.
Location: It's in the Lakes Regions so many water sport around the area. Meadowbrook Pavilion is only 6 miles away.
Staff was really pleasant, professional and helpful. The main part of hotel looked nice, however we were definitely in an older room which needed upgrading. It was clean but didn't have a fan in the bathroom, and at one time it was a smoking room, evident by burn marks on the comforters, on the tub and just the overall smell. If I were to stay in this area again I would ask to see one of the rooms that are considered non-smoking. The room did however overlook the river and the center of town which was a nice view.

Quiet, comfortable hotel

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Breakfast (cereal, fruit, baked goods, juices) available in a bright, spacious lobby area. Clean, comfortable, quiet hotel.
Cons: The Internet in my room was a little slow on occasion, but that wasn't a problem for me.
Location: Centrally located in Laconia, on the river, shared a parking lot with a Walgreens. Near to the lake region, Meadowbrook, and NH Motor Speedway.
I was attending a concert at the Meadowbrook Pavilion in nearby Gilford. This hotel was located about 15 minutes away from the concert venue. I was happy to find a hotel conveniently located with a reasonable room rate. The desk staff members were pleasant, handling check-in and checkout efficiently.

It wasn't a great place. Desk people were okay, but was expecting something more for the price.

Terrible experience!

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Nothing after our terrible experience.
Cons: Please read above.
Don't stay at this hotel if you want to sleep. There was a "mystery alarm" that went off for 1 minute EVERY 5 MINUTES for an hour starting at 5:30am. It was so terrible that one of us went downstairs to bring up someone from the hotel. Even they couldn't find it. After an hour, it finally stopped. I spoke with the manager on staff upon checkout and requested at least a partial refund, as the alarm completely ruined our night. She said she needed to speak to the General Manager, and I left her my name and phone number. Two days later, I had to call and follow up - the GM never called me. I spoke to the same manager from my stay, who said that she spoke the GM, they discovered that the alarm was from a room next to us, and that they wouldn't give us any sort of refund as they couldn't control the noise from another room. If this had been a cheap hotel, I would have expected this, but it wasn't. If they can't afford to soundproof their walls, they shouldn't charge so much for the room. Bottom line - If you want a decent night's sleep, go somewhere else.

Landmark Inn

Price went up over $100 a night for bike week and the beds were really stiff. Our bathroom fan vent seemed to be broken because the room wouldn't ventilate. Great distance to everywhere in New Hampshire.

Bad Place to Stay

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything. It needs a complete make over. Too numerous to list all the discrepancies.
Location: We stayed there only because it was convient to where we were going.
Room was filthy. Smelled constantly of cigarette smoke. Had to go out and buy several deodorizers just to make the room livable. Would not stay there again and would recommend that anyone stay there.
