Hotel StayPosted May 7, 2013
Pros: It was clean, staff was friendly
Cons: More breakfast options
Location: Everything is about ten or fifteen minutes away, but the highway is close so you can't really get lost which is good to me.
We were only there one day. The doors were kind of hard to open and close, but it was fine. Breakfast was basiclly cereal and waffles and pastries...not the best, but food is food, and it was clean so I'm not complaining. It's a good place to stay for a night or two, but not really a vacation spot. I reccommend this hotel if you're in the area and you need a place to stay.

going back to the 90'sPosted May 7, 2013
Pros: the staff was very friendly
Cons: update the room and
The hotel room looked exactly like you are taken back in time to the 90's. This room has not been updated one bit since then. Horrible experience. The sheets or mattress, couldn't tell with one, had a musty smell and it took a long time for me to fall asleep because of the smell. I wouldn't say the room was dirty, there is only so much a person can do to clean something that is 20 years old, but the tub bottom was black.

We were offered an adjoining room which was perfect as there were 6 of us traveling back to NH. The rooms were comfortable and clean however they could have been updated. The hotel was showing it's age. Our overall experience was pleasant and great location to the airport.

Old hotel in need of renovatingPosted Apr 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is very old and out dated. There is a sign excuse our mess during renovation but no visible renovation going on. Also it was 87 degrees the day i was here and the pool was closed for no apparent reason. Would choose one of the other area hotels if i ever went back to this area.

Close to downtown CharlestonPosted Apr 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was ok. It was a nonsmoking room but the smell of smoke was evident. The bedspreads had a strange odor, too. i was happy that the refrigerator was good sized. The location was good and was close to other exits where more restaurants were available.

UNCOMPASSIONATE EMPLOYEESPosted Apr 14, 2013
Pros: It is right off highway 26, close and convenient and centrally located to everything I needed on my vacation.
Cons: The attitude of the 2 employees I dealt with concerning my one unfortunate experience.
Location: Easy access, quiet
the hotel was fine... and the front desk employees were all very friendly the only complaint we have is the refrigerater in our room was turned way up and the dial to change it was removed. My husband and I are both insulin dependent diabetics so our insulin pens all froze. Which are not suppose to be used if they have been frozen. when i told the front person about this she was very pleasant, apologized, and called to the maitenance man explaining what happend. His response was "that won't hurt anything." I was furious! but still no satisfaction from the incident. The maintenance man then went on to say, "people turn them way up or way down, so I set them and remove the dial." well he obviously set it way high. I was quick to set him straight as he did not realize I was the one with the complaint. Needless to say he put the dial back and the situation was ignored. Unfortunately, i got sick and was just not up to pursuing compensation. I have been sick with sinusitis and acute bronchitis since I got home. I am very disappointed this incident was taken so lightly by the employees and no kind of compensation was offered. I had to call my pharmacist to resolve the issue.

Run away!Posted Apr 5, 2013
Cons: Everything, the smell, the lazy staff, the dirtyness
Location: Only benefit was the nearby businesses and areas.
The hotel is in desperate need of a renovation or demolition. The rooms smell, and a strong mold smell came from the bathrooms or whenever you ran the water. There was burn marks from the iron I am assuming, our blankets smelled funny and had bleach stains all over them. We stayed for three days and our beds were only made once, and the sheets were never changed. On our second day we went out for the day and we came back and house keeping never even came in, they just slipped a "do not disturb" door hanger in our door....and then said that's why they didn't clean our room. That night I had to go see the girl at the desk because we had no towels, no tissues, no toilet paper....nothing at all. Toilets do not flush well, just plain Disgusting. There was also no fitted sheets so you could feel the mattress, especially if you toss and turn like we did. Beds were so uncomfortable and stunk. Only nice thing was the people working the desk. Breakfast area was ok....messy, understocked and extreamly small. I will never stay at a Days Inn again!!!
