“Will certainly stay here again.”

The hotel is lovely, the room was great. The location, one block off Bourbon, was great for walking everywhere. The only complaints I can even think about, the parking is a bit high at 30/day for valet, and the noise off Canal St at night doesn't die down until very late. Of course, if you're on Bourbon St you won't hear it... Overall a great hotel and a steal at the price compared to others in the district. We will stay there again!

Tub/Shower had no hot water, sink did. How come? Other than cold shower, good stay.

Our room smelled strongly of mold/mildew and the carpet needed shampooing.

Ok, it was the weekend of the Breau Bridge Crawfish Festival, so I know it's going to be busy, but on Fri., when I went to check in to my room @ 8:30p.m., there was only 1 girl working the front desk w/4 people waiting in line to check in. She was super slow, and that was with people who had reservations & everything was already set up. The room she checked us into was clean, but the bed was not made (it had no sheets, etc.# so I called the front desk & in about 10 mins. a guy & a girl came and put clean sheet on the bed in less the 5 mins, apologizing the whole time they were doing it. At 10 p.m., we called the front desk about breakfast, he said there was a breakfast buffet in the Bistro for $7.99/person. The next morning we went down to the Bistro to eat the breakfast buffet and when we told Katherine, who sat us & was our waitress, that the front desk quoted a price of $7.99/person, she said, "Oh, well it went up, it's $8.49/person." Extremely rude, then her "service" was horrible!! You don't have to serve anything, it's a buffet, but at least keep a persons coffee, water & juice full!! The elevators are extremely slow. All the door frames are beat up w/ paint chipped off. On Sat., went to use the pool & I asked housekeeping if there were towels poolside or did we need to bring some from our room. She assured me there were towels there. NO towels, getting out of a really small pool for a hotel that size, so then we dripped dry, walking back to our room, freezing.

“Very Disappointed”

The lobby as well as the room was very warm. The a/c unit was so loud, you could not hear the TV. The room was not what you would expect in the Crowne Plaza; it was cramped, the bed was not comfortable, the bathroom needed much attention, and each time you closed the entry door, paint chips fell. Our stay was to celebrate our anniversary...we could have stayed home and been more comfortable.

i'm from new orleans, so when i heard the name crown plaza i assumed it would be a nice hotel, but wow was i wrong. the hotel is very old and out dated, the rooms are tiny for the price, the entrance/exit to the hotel are easy to miss and the area itself is very sketchy. I would not recommend at all. also when i paid for my room breakfast was supposed to be included and when i asked at check in they told me it was a la carte. for the price its just not worth it to stay here, there are way better hotels in the same area for a better price, better amenities and accommodations. sorry. staff was nice but this hotel needs a complete makeover.
