“Good enough”

Did not have a comfortable chair in the room. Sink area was really nice. I slept well in the comfortable bed.

“Great, affordable hotel right by Purdue's campus”

Great stay! All of the front desk staff members I dealt with were helpful and nice! A very clean hotel. Nice, unique indoor space!

“Comfy and Close”

I went to Purdue for college and wanted to come back with my husband to visit and meet up with some friends. This hotel was close (just a few minutes north on Northwestern Avenue) and had very comfy beds. We had stayed in a king room and there was a wide assortment of pillows on the bed. My only thing was I did notice a dark hair in the sink when we came in but I could tell the room and bathroom had been cleaned. May have just been a fluke. They were doing some construction in the parking lot but nothing that put us out of our way. Overall good value for our money (and hotels are not cheap near Purdue).

Area recommendations

I definitely recommend staying either on the North end of campus (where this hotel is) or down near Wabash Landing. You could go out near the mall into Lafayette but it's a drive if you want to be close to campus.

Must see

At Purdue, you must check out Greyhouse Coffee and Supply Co. on State Street and Northwestern Ave. It's the best espresso around! Plus they have crepes, gelato, and yummy cake (try the Lemon Berry Marscapone). Another must-see is the campus itself. Walk to the Bell Tower, the Engineering Fountain, and the Memorial Union. Make sure to check out the shops near campus (same area as Greyhouse).

Nightlife

Definitely check out the Neon Cactus especially on Thursday nights! So much fun and make sure to buy a Cactus cup to take home and get discounted drinks. Also go around to the campus bars like Brothers and Harry's Chocolate Shop.

“Mediocre”

The a/c/heater in the room cycled on and off all night long...waking us up each time, (too hot in there with it off). Staff nice. We were able to walk to the football stadium, which was nice.

“Will stay here again.....”

This hotel has been renovated in the past couple of years and is beautiful. The room was very nice, and the bathroom with it's walk in shower done in lovely tile was very upscale. We asked for a 2nd chair in the room and it was there within 5 min. The atrium room is lovely, the indoor pool warm, and the hot tub good and hot. The whole place was clean and well appointed. We would definitely stay there again.

Area recommendations

Close to Purdue, and restaurants, and Westminster Facilities & Cumberland Pointe where we have relatives.

“meh”

Not bad, but definitely overpriced and no extras. No refrigerator or microwave in room, no free breakfast offered, no exhaust fan in bathroom. Reasonably clean & comfortable.

“Consistent”

This is an old Holidome that has been comverted to a private hotel (not part of a chain). They know they have a captive audience, not a great many choices in West Lafayette. They cater to Purdue visitors and families. This may not be a 5 star hotel, but its consistent, clean and reliable. I recommend it for anyone visiting Purdue. However, be aware of the cancellation policy.

“Close to Purdue University”

During my stay at this hotel it seemed a bit overpriced, outdated (think 80's) and at check in the customer service was blah no energy. On our way to an event we stopped at the front desk to ask to borrow scissors to trim the ribbon for a gift the front desk person was not helpful and said we have no scissors....after insisting she went to the back and found some. I feel the customer service needs to improve with welcoming guests with a smile plus a good attitude goes a long way.

“Check in awful”

We checked in at 8 p.m. The employee was quite rude and not at all friendly or accomodating or helpful. The hotel sign was not easily visable and hotel itself was not well lit. We didn't know which door to go in and the parking lot was dark, with a lot of curbs and pot holes. No free breakfast, but the wait staff in the a.m. was very nice and the food we ordered was good. The room was clean, but the bathroom was not well laid out, the toilet paper was softer than the tissues. There was no list of TV stations in the room either.
