Will never stay again

The air conditioner did not work in my room. When I talked to the front desk I was assured it would be fixed when I returned. At 9:30 that night when I returned IT WAS NOT FIXED!! Went back to the front desk, had the manager called. I was told they had no one to fix it and there were no more rooms. No offer for a refund or discount or even an offer of a fan. There were lizards in my room. There were people up and down the hall slamming doors and talking really loud all night!!! I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!!

Breakfast, AC, WiFi, Cable... The Basics

I stayed four days. I enjoyed breakfast and good coffee. Prices aren't terrible. They go green with some suggestions like reusing sheets and towels. I think that's okay. They had an old computer at the Lobby amd a printer, bit I could print my plane boarding pass. Pillows and bed were clean and comfy. McDonalds and convenience store roght outside for any late night need.

Great Price and Room

Pros: Staff, rooms, pet friendly, breakfast, parking lot (large), location (quiet and safe)
Cons: The hallways smell like smoke (not the rooms).
Location: Scott, LA has the best Boudin.
I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Our bed was nice and comfortable. The clean room had a pull out couch with plenty of room to walk around. The staff at the front desk and the cleaning staff were so nice and always said hi. I would definitely recommend staying in Scott, LA at this hotel. You couldn't beat the price and location. I felt comfortable with the area to walk my dog around the buildings. This is the second time I have stayed in the Lafayette area and I would stay here again over the other hotels I picked last time.

Wifi wouldnt connect. And we couldnt call the front desk because the phone didnt work. I wouldnt bring alot to stay because there isnt an elevator. Lots of stairs.

Horrible Experience and Disgusting Rooms

Pros: Absolutely NOTHING!!!!
Cons: EVERYTHING could be improved including the staff!!!
Very disappointed in this hotel. I have never booked at a Howard Johnson. They had one time to impress me and I was disgusted instead of impressed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We had made reservations and then called to double check everything. We got there and it was nothing what they told us on the phone. The cleanliness...well...let's just say if they call that clean I hate to see what their personal homes are like. The floors were not vacuumed. There was a coffee straw on the floor, pieces of white stuff on the floor. Huge stains on the chair like someone had peed on it. There was an empty juice bottle underneath the bed and an empty Capri sun juice pack underneath the bed. There were earrings and bracelets beside one of the beds and then there was something white underneath the foot of the bed (wasn't going to touch to find out what it was). Also, the hotel was having the air conditioners ripped out of the hotel while we were there. Nothing was mentioned about this. When they take the AC unit out it left a huge hole in the wall until they put the new unit in. The hotel staff was the rudest staff I have ever met. They were not accommodating at all. Also, the toilet in the bathroom rocked and the sheets were thrown on the bed. Needless to say, we didn't stay there. I'm not sure how this hotel is still open for business.

A fairly good place for an overnight stay

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. There was a weird, and strong, smell in the hallway when I arrived but it was gone when I left the next day. It was fairly well maintained and I would stay there again. It's also close to quick and easy food so if you don't mind eating fast food it's very convenient. Overall it's a perfectly suitable stop for someone passing through like I was.

Pros: Location & price
Cons: Outlet was loose, & should be replaced. Made it hard for me to charge my cell phone. Better more non flat pillows would be nice to.
Very pleasant overnight stay. Staff was very nice, & handled any problems we had. Would stay here again anytime.

Pros: I liked the service and the cleanliness.
This is a good quality for the price. . Very clean, excellent service, breakfast all right. Near many fast food restos as well as good restos. Easily accessible. Near Acadian Village but a little far from other interesting attractions like Vermillion, Cultural Center, Breaux Bridge, Henderson and interesting cajun activities. It is at Scott, west of Lafayette
