Best of limited options

I stay in Crowley every year during the holidays. There are limited hotel options in the city. The La Quinta offers the best experience in my opinion, but that's not necessarily saying much. The rooms and hallways are clearly old and worn out. The hallways also have a musty smell, but I've noticed this in other Crowley hotels. Ultimately, I only used the hotel as a place to sleep and shower because I spent most of the time with my family. My only serious problem with the hotel was the bed. It offered no support. When you sat on it, you sank down like you were sitting on a beanbag chair. Other than the bed, my stay was fine and a decent value for the money.

OK But...

Pros: Size of room was nice. The in room desk was a great size and shape to allow me to work at night.
Cons: Needed new shower curtain, fix room locks so that the key cards actually work.
The room was an OK value for the price paid. It was clean and the bed was comfortable and pillows were big and firm. I did have a couple problems with my stay however. The first was that each of the 2 days of my stay, my room key did not work. I got my exercise each day going back and forth b/w the front desk and my room. The second item was that the power outlet attached to the in room desk was broken.
