Nice Hotel-Good location

Posted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: Was able to drive right to the room's door. Convenient location. Nice room with easy chair.
Cons: Eliminate the glass on the desk top. Replace chair at desk with one equipped with wheels.
Location: This is as close to Avery Island and the Tabasco plant as you will to get. Was going on into New Orleans the next day so didn't stop to look at more.
Very easy to find as it was close to the highway. Good location for me as I was planning to visit Avery Island the next morning. It is also nice to be able to drive right up to the door of your unit. The room itself was comfortable and quiet. Staff was polite and accommodating. The only disappointment was the absence of breakfast. Also, the desk needs to have a regular desk type chair with wheels and the glass top meant that my mouse would not work correctly. Bed was good and I slept well.

Convenient to stay while touring Cajun Country

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: Get a room on the "inside" of the yard. The pool was central with rooms surrounding and there was a large green space with trees & flowers.
Cons: The air conditioner in our room made a lot of noise at times, waking me on several occasions.
Location: Easy location for accessing New Iberia & surrounding Cajun area.
Hotel was a good fit for our visit to New Iberia. We wanted to travel to several of the small towns nearby.

The staff were all very friendly, the lobby was very clean, we had breakfast outside on the patio both days surrounded by lovely follage and a small swimming pool. I would certainly return -

Good motel. . .just don't eat there

The hotel room and location were fine. However, have breakfast somewhere else. Service was slow and the food was terrible (egs runny, toast hard and cold, etc) and way too pricey. Also, no detergent in the laundry.

Won't stay here again if I can avoid it!

Pros: Not expensive
Cons: Almost everything
Location: Convenient to New Iberia
Older motel style accommodations. Heater didn't work in first room I was given and heater in second room barely worked. Thin walls, could hear people in neighboring rooms. Overall old, dirty feeling in entire hotel. No free breakfast; just restaurant on site. Stay elsewhere if possible.
