“Convenient location.”
This is a no frills motel, but it is clean and conveniently located on SH 26, near Interstate 65. Easy to get to the Purdue campus with numerous restaurants in the area.
“Good at the basics”
You don't stay at this hotel to hang out and enjoy the facility - it's pretty basic, no breakfast and coffee only available at the front desk. But it was clean; in fact, I believe our room was recently renovated which was a plus. You can't expect much more for the price.
“no frills hotel”
Red Roof Inn is not my idea of luxury hotels, but it serves the purpose that we needed it for. We were at a football game and needed a bed to sleep in - that's the only time we were at the hotel. And the room was immaculate. The mattress was very comfortable. We had clean towels. That's all we were looking for, and they delivered!
“JUST RIGHT FOR THE PRICE”
My husband and I needed a cheap hotel room for a family wedding in LaFayette. The hotel that the bride and groom reserved filled up quickly bc it was Freshman Move-in Week at Purdue University. I went on expedia and just looked for the cheapest available chain and Red Roof won out. The location was perfect, right of the main street and close to so many stores, restaurants and the venue we needed to be at. The staff was very nice, the rooms nice and clean, the beds comfy and the ac cool. Now of course for that price we where not expecting luxurious amenities and extras, and we got what we paid for, a safe clean place to rest our heads. My only compliant is that for some reason they where stingy with the towels, only giving us one large bath towel for two adults, and when I called to ask for more towels they brought up a bunch of hand and face towels and only one more full body towel. haha. If we come back to LaFayette we will book here again!
“Nice hotel”
The rooms had recently been upgraded. It was nice and clean, bed was nice. Sinks were a little too high but was ok. The only problem we had was the tv connection cable was loose so the tv had a lot of white fuzz to it. Otherwise it was a good place!
“Cheap but still not worth it”
The rooms were advertised as recently renovated. Well, the headboards and the sink were new, but the overall atmosphere was tired and sad. The doors had pealing paint, the sheets were stained and mismatched, the pillows were lumpy, the toilet didn't flush, and the newspaper was a day old.
“Not Impressed run down hotel”
I read the review on line and they were very good so I picked this hotel. Checkin was very slow, took 20 minutes. Big sign out front said rooms newly renovated. The room was not renovated stains all over carpet, walls and bed spread. Not very clean, looked like they hadn't swept the floor. Bathroom very old and mold on walls, the bed was very uncomfortable and should have been replace 5yrs ago. I checked for bed bugs 3 times just to make sure there were none present.
“Will stay again”
The hotle rooms had been recenlty remodled and it showed. The carpet seemed to be brand new and was very clean, not like some lower priced hotel/motels I have stayed in. The sink was actually made for a tall person (which I am) and it was great not to have to hunch over to wash and brush. It was wlaking distance of several restaurants and a super Walmart, which would have been great had I needed to stay for a length of time. Overall I was really happy with my stay. It was not fancy but gave me a nice quiet place to stay in a comfortable and clean bed. Oh yes, it was no smoking for real, not a room that had been smoking and then sprayed to accommodate the next guest! :)
“Pleasant Surprise at a Low Price”
We travel frequently but don't usually stay at Red Roof Inns. When I saw the regular room rate, I didn't expect much from the hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised! Our room had recently been redone, from paint to carpet to towels and baseboards. The attention to detail was impressive, and it felt like we were at a much more expensive hotel. The only problem I encountered was that the new sink was a little high for me to use comfortably (I am 5' tall); it is too high for children to use without assistance. But it is a beautiful sink, and the other members of my party had no trouble. And although the hotel is close to the highway and on a busy road, we weren't bothered by road noise. The hotel offers a regular cable line-up, not the limited number of channels we often find while travelling. The only thing missing was a free breakfast, but I knew that when I booked the room. We were very satisfied.
“Red Roof - Lafayette IN”
Located next to Mountain Jacks restaurant, it was very convienient. Getting from State Road 26 to the hotel is a bit confusing, but the fault of Indiana and not Red Roof
