Old and needs upgrades

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Location: Anything to get away from the hotel is good.
A/C was a joke and it smelled like the front desk was smoking and stunk in the lobby. The rooms where dirty found stuff from the last occupants. Pool was full of leaves, trash and too much chlorine to hide the filth. I wouldn't stay here for free, I am serious.

We were in New Iberia for a wedding

Pros: Location and cost.... Front desk staff were very nice.
Cons: better maintained
Location: It was an easy access to our wedding that we attended, near eateries...
We selected this property based solely on price and location. When we first entered the room the smell was so bad, my wife immediately called the front desk for some one to come and check the room out. No one came, we decided to just keep quiet since we would only be there for 2 nights. We went and bought a deodorizer so that we could stay in the room. Our sleep was interrupted due to the air conditioner being in need of repair. About 3 times per hour, the sound was as if a freight train was with us in the room. I'm not against staying in another Super 8 motel, but I would check it out before unloading our luggage. The bed linen was clean but the floors were filthy. We were in room 129.

Close to interstate

Pros: Continental Breakfast was more than I had planned. It was probably the best thing about the hotel second to the kiddy pool next to the regular pool.
Cons: Front desk clerks should not be allowed to smoke at the front desk or in any offices, front lobby smelled awful. Deep clean in bathrooms are required
Location: Close to Interstate which was convenient. Avery Island was very close.
The hotel was close to the interstate which was convenient. The front desk staff was rude at times and it smelled like someone chain smoked in the front office. The housekeeping staff was pleasant although was hesitant at bring additional towels and pillows. Also had to go to front desk for pool towels which were very tiny. Over all rooms were clean, bathroom could have used a deep clean including baseboards. Probably will not stay here again.

Decent accomodations at a decent price

Pros: Handy to everything we wanted to do. Close to the interstate.
Cons: I never got onto the web. Good bars, but would not connect with server. Called their #, and was told a tech would call us. Never did.
Location: Avery Island (tobasco sauce), old rice mill, Jefferson Island (see this....unique, great restaurant) ....good area.
Our reservations were done when we got there; paperwork was minimal. The room was at the rear of the building, and the place was not crowded; so it was very quiet. We don't require all the "gingerbread" amenities, that drive rates way up. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the continental breakfast was quite adequate, and the air conditioning worked well. It was fine for us.

Nice but......

Pros: Clean bathrooms and clean beds. Nice dining facilities and friendly staff.
Cons: Clean walls, carpet within reason and clean door. Soap and water would have cleaned everything easily.
Location: Only needed the rooms for 1 night....
I rented 2 rooms but the room photos listed for the property were not completely accurate. The beds were very clean and comfortable but a couple of walls in the room that I slept in were dirty and the carpet in the room was not very clean. The door handle on the inside of the room needed cleaning also. There was a night club located near the hotel and for a while we had to endure noise but after about 2am it stopped. I had called the front desk and they immediately came to our room to explain the noise. The other room I rented was next door to mine. and it WAS nice and clean. My daughter and her 2 children stayed in it and were happy with everything in the room. I would recommend this hotel easily if everything was in good order but it was not. Everything else, the staff, the breakfast area, food were great. And we felt pretty safe knowing that security was readily available if needed.

Fair room, fair price

The room was average, but the service was GREAT! I accidentally left my fairly expensive pillow and my favorite flip flops at the hotel. When I called 3 days later to ask about those items, the staff located my stuff and had it waiting for me when I passed back through New Iberia on our way home. I very much appreciated them finding and returning my items!
