the staff is not so friendly, there is always a bad smell in the whole place so the cleaniness isn't so respected and they must make wifi available to their clients rooms

Self catering hotel on the outskirts of Annecy

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: Clean tidy functional with a small kitchen within the room itself. Excellent value for money for a one night stay. Free parking for our motorcycles.
Cons: The reception staff were inundated with too many clients which meant long queues and waiting time to be attended too upon arrival and departure.
Location: It's a 10 minute brisk walk to the centre of town where there are lots of fantastic restaurants and bars. There is no need to hire a taxi.
Upon our arrival we were faced with long queues at the reception desk. A third member of staff is required to deal with booking in. There are no amenities nearby the hotel. The reception staff were friendly, polite, efficient and spoke good english. As an overnight stop it offers excellent value for money.

Cean and cheap but inconvenient

Posted Jun 20, 2014
Wanted a self-contained but didn't realise how inconvenient the location was without a car (ie knew the distance but didn't realise the walk in was mainly on big roads and nothing around the apartment). Good clean facilities but if you're staying here without a car think about whether you'd want to pop back between sight-seeing activities

Not very near the centre of Annecy

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. It was good not being restricted to meal times
Cons: I did not get a SMS with the code for the hotel safe containing the room key and had to phone for that information.
Location: The description of the location is misleading. It is not 'near' the centre of Annecy but about 30 minutes away!
This si a pleasant modern apartment hotel located in a quiet suburb of Annecy.

Room fine. Hotel is a bit out of town but an easy walk to the centre, which is reflected in the price which was very good. Breakfast was good. No wifi in rooms, only in lobby area.

Small rooms...

Rooms are quite small but big enough to sleep in and keep your bags. Feels a bit like an enhanced hostel more than a hotel; combined with self-catering accommodation

Not great. Motel standard

Not great. "free wifi" wasn't working, "ironing board' only had one and it was booked out. then staff didn't speak english and were completely unhelpful when asking simple favours.

Sofa beds hard and very uncomfortable

Posted Mar 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
A 10 min car drive from Annecy and the lake. If you are lucky you will have stunning views from your room as the hotel is quite high up. Let down were the sofa beds. We all had very poor sleep, and you only get a single pillow and needed to boost it with folded blankets. Modest cutlery and cooking facilities

Not a good option

Posted Feb 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
Not easy to find first time even with GPS.On entering reception, the welcome was, well not what one would expect at all. Receptionist on phone some 15 minutes. This I understand, what I don't accept was that she made no eye contact to acknowledge our arrival or were waiting for her.Check-in process was painfully slow. All I was given was a horrible photocopy to sign filled with text in very small print(their rules).Room is TINY.When bed is open (quite uncomfortable, & VERY noisy, as mentioned by others, there is literally no space between end of bed and desk to walk around the bed (about 10 cm).Despite the sign WARNING you to leave the kitchen perfectly CLEAN, or else... I arrived to a dishwasher filled with dirty dishes! The room had a bad odor.Door keys are quite difficult to work.No wifi in bedrooms, but cable connection, which WHEN it works, is fine, but didn't work the weekend I was there. No apology,in fact when I asked if there was an internet problem, I was abruptly informed "it is broken and I can't do anything about it until Monday!". Neighborhood is not nice. General atmosphere in complex was rather unpleasant, and at times even intimidating. Bathroom was not that clean. As a youngster I stayed in MUCH NICER university residences in France than this place. I dislike not recommending places, but all I can say about Appart'City Annecy-Seynod is that I will clearly NEVER return! I know this place was cheap, it was actually a rip-off in relation to its price/quality ratio.
