Close to the lake

Pros: Good location and rooms laid out good with seating away from bed area.very good breakfast
Cons: A little better upkeep of the facility
Location: Civic center very close, lake across the road, convenient to get around town
Elevator out of service, had go to front desk and let them know what the room was short of.ants in the room, no water at the kitchenette sink, other than that nice stay and location.

Pros: The staff at this hotel was absolutely helpful, courteous, and attentive. We enjoyed the indoor heated pool. Layout of bedroom/living room was nice
Cons: It's time to upgrade things like the hallway carpets, bed linens, replace tub shells, repaint, freshen up, replace old eq etc.
Location: Near this hotel is a fun, artsy downtown area that has nice restaurants, art galleries, and antique malls galore. Wandering around is fun and relaxed.
This was once a nice, decent hotel near the Lake Charles in Lake Charles, LA. Unfortunately the building and rooms are suffering from use. It feels like the owners have decided to see how far they can get in stretching out making any improvements before spending any money. That may be helping their wallets but not the guest experience which ultimately will impact their business. Although amenities like an indoor heated pool and a hot complimentary breakfast buffet are great, those are not the reasons why you stay in a hotel. You stay there to hopefully experience a comfortable substitute for your home bedroom(s) overnight. Issues like other people's hair plastered on the thermal blanket under your bedspread...a flimsy feeling tub shell that flexes with each step in it...suspicious, black stains on the bathroom ceiling (no fans in there so no moisture vents out)...a CRT tv that has a permanently green tint to it...these are small but noticeable details that begin to add up to a disappointing experience during a stay.

Decent hotel close to everything I needed.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Location was good, away from the highway.
Cons: I was pleased with overall hotel.
Location: Casinos, food, and shopping were near by. The lake was very pretty and the Veteren Park was really nice.
I enjoyed my stay. The desk people were very helpful and everyone was nice. The hotel was as clean as most I have stayed out; a few cobwebs, curtains didn't want to stay closed; nothing big.

called hotel got a higher quote.Made mention that expedia was cheaper. When guys checked in she really gave them a lot of trouble

Pros: La situation géographique
Cons: Rénovation des parties communes (couloirs, ascenseur).
Location: Le quartier n'est pas animé, très peu commerces et un restaurant à 500 m environ.
Nous sommes restés une nuit dans ce hôtel, la connexion Wi-Fi était inexistante et aucun support à l'accueil pour prendre en charge le problème, un peu angoissant lorsque l'on est loin de ses proches pour communiquer. Emplacement de l'hôtel agréable offrant une belle vue sur le lac. Petit déjeuner correct.

Low Quality Hotel at Mid Level Price

The reception clerk was extremely nice. They offer nice amenities in the lobby like free breakfast buffet in the morning and a open bar with snacks from 5 to 7 in the evening. However, I had reserved a smoking room. When we got into our room it was extremely nice and clean but it was a non smoking room. When I called the front desk they changed our room quickly. Our new room left much to be desired. The walls were beat up. The tub was full of mold. The refrigerator was a block of ice with something frozen in it. Overall it was a mid level priced hotel with Motel 6 or less quality. Best feature was they were probably the biggest rooms I have ever stayed in.

Not as advertised

Very disappointed, if we wanted the view of the lake, we'd have to upgrade, even though they were not near full. There were no pillow top mattress as advertised. Bed was hard. Hotel was old and unkept. However, the breakfast was very good.
