Great location-waterfront

Posted May 23, 2015
Pros: Waterfront location and convenience of shops, restaurants and casinos.
Cons: Everything is very old and dated. The hotel needs to come up to speed big time.
Location: Great waterfront location as stated above. Close to casinos, museums and restaurants.
Hotel overall is nice, but needs some updating urgently. The room was nice but it also needed some needed updating. The staff was very courteous and professional. The breakfast was really good. The happy hour 5pm-7 was really a added bonus. We would diffently stay there next trip to the area. This was the second time that we stayed there and was not disappointed.

Okay for what you're paying

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Staff was very nice and they served complimentary beer and wine at happy hour.
Cons: Cleaner bathroom.
Had all of the amenities that I wanted but the room could have been a little cleaner and it was extremely loud at all hours of the night.

Safe place across from the lake.

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: Access, size of rooms, pleasant staff, evening wine "mixers."
Cons: Newer furniture, outdoor pool
Location: Across the street from Lake Charles and within walking distance of Civic Center, site of festivals.
This was our second stay here. Good access to Interstate 10 but quiet. The suites are large - 2 rooms that can be separated by a door. The furnishing are definitely dated and the rooms could use better light but overall, this was the perfect place for the work I am doing in the are. With all the space, wish the rooms had a full kitchen.

The breakfast buffet was excellent... Most hotel breakfast consists of pastries & coffee/juice... The kids also enjoyed the indoor pool

Very old

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Price
Cons: Major overhaul.
Location: Close to most casinos and freeway
Property is in need of major updating dirty walls, stained tub, doors. The first room the toilet was stopped up they gave us another room the light fixture in the bathroom had a portion of it hanging and when we tried turning it on it shorted and blew out the all of the lights in the room. The coffee maker you had to hold the on button to brew your coffee or it would cut off. The microwave was filthy.
