Smoking Rooms/HallsPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Nice Breakfast
Cons: smell, almost impossible to turn left out of the parking lot
First time for staying in a hotel in Louisiana. Did not know we had booked a smoking room. From the minute we stepped off the elevator onto the 2nd floor was the stale smell of cigarettes. I didn't know smoking was still allowed in hotels, but rest assured I will be sure to verify non-smoking in the future. I felt the ordering process should have been more obvious to smoking rooms making sure anyone booking a room was aware there was a choice.

Not a very safe neighborhood...very run down part.Posted Jul 10, 2014
Only places to eat in the immediate area were fast food outlets. Room was spotless & staff was excellent. Hot breakfast was satisfactory except for K-Ration scrambled s eggs. As a law enforcement officer, I wouldn't recommend any after dark excursions in this neighborhood. Make sure your car doors are locked.

Nice but smells bad.Posted Jul 8, 2014
Hotel itself was nice but the room smelled the sewage!! They didn't have bath towels clean before I checked out. If they do something with that smell and unfriendly staff could be a nice hotel

Motel stay with share of problemsPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Somewhat the discount I got after the problems, but I wish it would have been more
Cons: See experience section above
Location: Crowded area with nothing to do near by
Air conditioning leaked and had room carpet very wet. Tub faucet leaked. Front desk attendants were gone from behind counter a lot. Found a roach in room probably cause carpet was so wet. Breakfast was very crowded and were missing items that were there earlier.

DisappointedPosted Jun 29, 2014
We didn't get the king size bed I requested, the people upstairs stomped around till after midnight and we had to unplug the phone to get it to quit making static noises.

Clean, comfortable, and quietPosted Jun 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
Most inexpensive motels aren't great when it comes to being clean and comfortable. However, this particular motel was great! The rooms were clean, roomy, bed was super comfy, and best of all, it was QUIET! Not once did we hear any noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms, even though this motel was nearly full! The free breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, etc., much better than the normal continental breakfast included with some motels. We stayed here the night before our stay at the "high-end" L'Auberge du Lac casino, and our room at Best Western was WAY better! I would definitely stay here again!
