Very nice facility to plan your stay with.Posted Sep 18, 2013
Pros: Good location, nice staff and comfortable rooms.
Cons: More Handicapped Parking near the front. To get to the rooms near the front there are no parking spaces for the disabled.
Location: It was very easy to get to and from while we were at the Lake.
I own a Fly Shop 250 miles away and was taking some clients to go Redfishing in South Louisiana. The facility was very easy to find and friendly.

got to make impovements to areaPosted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: location was good for us/ we where between Vinton and Lake Charles and had the chance to go in either direction and not drive that far
Cons: the general appearance of the surrounding. the door entrance didn't appear very safe. needed paint, or just replacing. the furniture as dated
Location: many eating place within 10miles, the beach near by, casino in several different direction without driving to far out of the way
the staff was pretty nice. after booking on line we could not use our aarp or aaa discount. was told next time call before coming and than the discounts could be applied.

Not Too GoodPosted Jul 13, 2013
Cons: Cleaning, service.
Location: Don't know. For us, this was just an overnight stay during a trip.
Bathroom was not very clean. Neither the bathtub nor the sink would drain freely. There were no tissues in the dispenser. Beds and linen were clean and good, breakfast was OK and I enjoyed the waffles. Heard another client complaining to the desk about many problems in cleanliness, including his linen, non working things n his room. I didn't have as much trouble as he. There are many hotels in the area, and I would expect them to be better, and I'd suggest to a traveler to try them first. Use this if there's no other.

Good place for the moneyPosted Jun 3, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Big worker vehicles with equipment taking up large amounts of space.
This was the second time in a year we have stayed there for a baseball tournament. The first time we had no problems at all. The second time the A/C was not cooling all the way, they did offer a fan to circulate the air untilit got fixed. I would stay there again. Regards, Reed W.

The motel was clean; staff friendly and efficient; breakfast good; grounds a little ragged, but not bad.

Dog HairPosted Apr 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
I picked this hotel, due to my past experiences with La Quinta. Well this will be my last stay at La Quinta. After the first night we woke up and saw white dog hair all over our pjs. Not a good thing since we didn't bring a dog with us, and dont have a white dog at home. Looking at the room it looks like it clean at first but after you look you can see how poor of a job they do in cleaning. My daughters didnt want to share a bed so I got a fold down. That was in terrible repair. Very outdated hotel. With a couple hundred per room and staff that actually cares this place could be decent.
