Great execution of an old property.

Great execution of an old property. Ownership, management and staff have done a great job with this older property. I'd stay here again and recommend to my friends. Great value for the price.

Pros: We enjoyed the social hour before supper and the variety of restaurants close by. The pool is sparkling clean and the grounds are immaculate.
Plan ahead to enjoy a wonderful experience at Cabot Lodge, Lake City, FL. You can't beat the quality accommodations and service overall for the value paid. The rooms are spacious, comfortable beds, coffee in room (and lobby 24h) curved shower curtains, hairdryer and great shampoo/conditioners. Complimentary hi speed internet in rooms and public computer & printer in lobby - and lots of TV stations! Easy on/off access from Interstate provides ample parking in a safe and secure area. The hot breakfast in the morning will keep you going all day. We stayed two nights and the hotel staff raised the bar on service. Well done!

Great service

Posted Apr 3, 2014
Pros: The welcoming reception was great way to unwind and meet fellow travellers.
Cons: Wouldn't change a thing
Location: Close to highway and good restaurants nearby
A gem of a hotel. Great welcome with a complimentary beer and wine social, and free breakfast buffet. Rooms were very comfortable. Highway noise on the east side of building.

Great remodel

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: staff was friendly, breakfast was good
Cons: demolish the old building and build a new hotel. for $10 - 20 more, I would stay in a newer hotel
Location: Right against the interstate, within a few feet of the off ramp. NOTHING TO DO in the rain and your whole reason for being there is rained out.
Looks like they saved a building from an "OLD" Holiday Inn, tore down the lobby, meeting rooms, etc and built a new lobby and breakfast area. Rooms are in a separate building that is very old. But they do a good job of trying to make it nice. Room reminds me of HI's I stayed in in the 70'S. exact same size and layout.

Pure Gem

Pros: Friendliness, clean and secure, and social hour. Food provided was fresh and plentiful.
Cons: I would choose a room on the back side of the highway to be more quiet of passing vehicles.
Location: We did not go off the hotel property.
Check in was welcoming. Social hour was in progress when we arrived. We immediately got acquainted with fellow guests both inside and around the pool. We were able to share travel experiences with others who have travelled to the same cities overseas . Such a nice touch after a day of driving. Both families and couples were enjoying the clean and well maintained facilities. In the morning it was nice to see friendly faces at breakfast with light conversation. This would not happen at a regular hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Had a good night's sleep and ready to head on.

Good stopping point to break up a long trip.

Posted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: Location, breakfast, staff.
Cons: Some type of agreement with groups and their leaders regarding noise and conduct....loud and lots of running late into the evening.
Location: Location is just off I-75. Lots of restaurants. Good stopping point between TN and Orlando.
Older hotel, but kept up nicely. Some wear in the carpet, but that's OK. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. Scrambled eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, waffels, bagels, toast, juices, milk, coffee, cereal. Pretty nice for a motel breakfast. Check in and out was no problem. We happened to be there during a baseball tournament......and you can guess ---- lots of young energetic kids. They stayed noisy a little later than me and my wife would have liked, but did settle down around 11:30. No regard to their noise and lack of consideration of other guests of the motel. Saving grace was that they must have had a game on Sunday, so they did go to sleep...finally

Older but clean hotel

Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: Location, convenience, staff
Location: A shopping center and several restaurants are nearby. Easy access to/from I 75.
Room was sufficient for an overnight stay. Bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows. The complimentary social hour and breakfast buffet are very nice touches. Good value for the money.
