The initial look of the Hotel was underwhelming but inside it was traditional but has been updated. The bedroom was comfortable and everywhere very clean. The dining room was friendly and classic at the sametime, you could have just one course or have the 'tasting' menu with appropriate wines. But it was a relaxed atmosphere. There was a small 'plunge' type pool but you could sit at a coffee table in the shade at the side. More to use after a hot day out. Only a few minutes walk down to the Lake through the old town. Quite delightful stay.

Good overnight stay in ComoPosted Aug 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
On arrival, parking is in the double courtyard of this old property. Check in was easy and we were shown to our room because the hotel is a bit of a labyrinth due the old architecture. Our room came with a convenient kitchenette which would have been useful if we had booked a longer stay. We would not hesitate to book here again for a longer stay due to it's convenient location near the city centre

Very enjoyable stayPosted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
I has a week's business in Lomazzo but wanted a place with parking and close to the Como waterfront and historic district. The staff were helpful the rooms were very nice. Located right across the street from the historic district. Can walk from there to the east and west shores of the lake within minutes. Relatively easy to drive in and out of town.

great locationPosted Jul 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
our apartment in the hotel was overall very good, cleaned very well every day, staff friendly, apartment size big enough. the only negatives if being fussy there was not much natural light in the apartment, and no fault of the hotel but it was sometimes noisy from the outside road traffic. if visiting como in the future we would definitely stay here again.

Slipped down a couple of notchesPosted Jun 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed at this hotel three years ago. It is still comfortable but the quality of the breakfast and the presentation of the dining room has been reduced noticeably. The hotel feels as it has been recently bought by someone trying to run it on a very tight budget and it has lost quite a bit of its old world elegance and charm. There were also a few packets of heart medicine laying around in open view on a couple of the tables in the bar area on the two days of our stay..... This is a shame as the hotel itself is a lovely building and perfectly located for exploring Como town On the positive side both bed linen and towels were faultlessly clean as was the room.

Good hotel. Could use some improvements.Posted Apr 13, 2014
Cons: Internet too slow.
Hotel is walking distance to all Como. Clean and helpful staff. Good room size. Breakfast was included and was very good. Wi-Fi internet was very slow, good only to get mail. Towels were just enough, could have used an extra one. Overall, at good price, I would recommend it.

Across the road from the old town and city wallsPosted Aug 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed two nights at the hotel as short break for of our journey to Le Marche. Our party consisted of two adults and two 15 yr old boys. Our accommodation was a family apartment and had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lounge/ kitchenette. We had space and comfort. The hotel uses it's two court yards for parking which is useful but your have to arrive early. Immediately outside the hotel you have street parking and a local multi-storey. To enter the old city you literally cross the road. There is an abundance of good restaurants within the old walls. Walk a leisurely 10 minutes and you are by the harbour and the ferries to explore the rest of the lake. The location cannot be faulted. The hotel is friendly and family orientated. It even has a small pool to dip in!

Fantastic and Cool!Posted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was a gem on our recent trip. It is immediately across from the ancient walled city of Como. Great location. The hotel is in a very old building w stone walls and interesting details. Room was large by European standards and the bath/shower was large also. Very cool, funky and fun. Parking is limited but safe and not obscenely expensive. Wonderful breakfast w coffees made by a pro barista. Our fav hotel and tourist location on a 2.5 week business/pleasure trip!

Unusual hotel - not entirely completedPosted May 29, 2013
Pros: The owner and staff
Cons: Miserable furnishings
Location: see above
Had a large flat outside main hotel which was full. No carpets and rather cold. Little furniture so no where to sit comfortably and relax. Very good bathroom and clever kitchen fitment. Quite good kitchen implement range but not comprehensive. Breakfast buffet of usual Italian standard. Dinner quite good. On the whole would recommend. 10 -15 min walk to Lake Como. A lot of traffic outside means inner facing rooms preferably
