nice hotelPosted May 9, 2015
Pros: Staff and the setting overlooking the lake was superb. Suggest paying a little extra for a lake view room
Cons: Free wifi and brighter more modern decor
Location: Apart from the lake itself and bell ago etc we caught a train into Switzerland to Lake Lugano. Very easy to do and takes 35 mins. goid shops etc
Nice hotel but more like a 3 star in terms of room and facilities. Staff lovely and food both at breakfast and dinner was really nice. Shame they don't offer free wifi though as this would be a real bonus.

The place to be in Como!Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Location is just amazing: few meters from Lake Como, two blocks away from the Duomo and a few minutes further to the best shops & restaurants in town
Cons: Furniture is starting to look old. It does add 'something' to the experience BUT don't let it stay much longer!
Location: Don't miss Riva Cafè for amazing pizzas! It's just 2 blocks away
From this place you can have a great Como experience. If you're driving your own car, you can park it a few blocks away and still use it during the day to travel around Lake Como or make a longer drive to Lugano. The latter is very recommendable indeed

location was perfectPosted Dec 28, 2014
Pros: We loved it. Nice staff. Nice hotel. nice position.
Lovely central hotel but don't rely on the satnav as it does take you up and down one way streets and dead ends. head for the lake and its right there.

O hotel além de ter um quarto e localização maravilhosas, tem um restaurante anexo com excelente comida e serviço competente e amigável! Melhor fritada de peixe da viagem!

amazing view! location location location! limited access to the internet. one hour free. and 5euros per extra hours, in 2014, that's too much to ask. while almost every hotel support it for free.

Location, location, locationPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: The view
Cons: Décor is very dated and could do with an overhaul to bring it into the 21st century. Should offer internet access in the room and be included in rate.
Location: Shopping, culture, sightseeing, bars, restaurants, boat tours.
This hotel is all about location and the views onto the lake. The hotel is tired and dated, but it is clean and has the amenities you need. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is minutes walk from bars, shopping and restaurants and a 5 minute walk from the train station. Ideal location for your Lake Como stay

Very good hotel in excellent location by the lake.Posted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: The location near the lake and ferries; the view from our room; the comfort and attractiveness of our room; excellent standards of housekeeping;
Cons: on some mornings there wasn't hot water in the bathroom, this could be improved. Vegetarian option on the restaurant menu main courses.
Location: well placed for the railway station, cathedral, old town and shops. The ferry terminal is a few minutes away, boats go all round the beautiful lake
This was our second stay at the hotel. The location is excellent - close to the ferry terminal, the cathedral, the railway station . . .Definitely worth paying extra for a lake view and balcony. Breakfast is good, with plenty of choice (fresh fruit excellent). We dined on 5 evenings in the "Bistro", the food is good, but the choice limited - e.g.no vegetarian option on main courses. Our room was very pleasant and the beds comfortable. Linen and towels changed every day, furnishings and décor good. No complaints or negative comments. Would definitely return again.
