Pros: Staff, room and restaurant all 5 star.
Cons: Minor inconvenience of parking but with prompt valet service
Location: Many villas to visit. Boat rides on Lake Como.Shopping a pleasant 10 min boat taxi to Bellagio.
Outstanding hotel and restaurant right on Lake Como. Excellent English speaking staff. Beautiful grounds. Spa. Breakfast on the patio was an experience that made us linger.

Fantastic hotel!Posted Sep 18, 2013
Pros: The location, views and facilities. Excellent.
Cons: When provided service pleasant but unfortunately not attentive enough. Missing out on sales opportunities. Drinks by the pool not offered.
Superb hotel, would deserve to have more attentive staff providing more pro-active service.

Beautiful hotel with amazing facilitiesPosted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: Views, pool, bar, helpful staff.
Cons: The rooms could be upgraded slightly but there's no problem with them. It's expensive, but probably worth it.
Location: Tremezzo has nice bars and restaurants, and you can get the boat to Bellagio. The drive down to Como is stunning.
It's expensive to stay here, yet it does not seem overpriced. The pool on the lake is incredible, the beach bar is a nice touch, and the other pool in the gardens is beautiful too. The tennis court is a great place to play, and the staff can't do enough for you. The spa is just amazing, and although we checked out at 12pm, the staff were nice enough to let us stay all day and shower in the spa. Cocktails on the balcony bar were just perfect and the bar - like the hotel itself - has so much character. You can really imagine Hemingway and pals drinking whisky, smoking cigars and chatting about life there. My wife and I would go back in a flash, although we'd have to save a few quid first.

First Class stay on beautiful Lake ComoPosted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Fabulous hotel. Beautiful, comfortable room and great view of the lake. Repeatedly had service issues in the bar, but the younger employees of the hotel were extremely attentive. There are better places to drink and eat in Tremezzo and the lake area, but this is a great place to stay.

Italian Lakeside SplendourPosted Aug 22, 2013
Pros: Impressive selection and beautiful presentation of the breakfast buffet. Friendly, courteous and professional staff. Excellent Beach Bar lunches.
Cons: Evening meals in both the formal and informal restaurants were well-prepared but not inspirational and menus didn't change. Pools are chilly!
Location: Use the boats and travel to Bellagio, Cernobbio, Isola Comacina etc. Taxis are very expensive!
Perfect week-long "rest and recuperation" stay. Ideal location, close to boat stops for travelling to other parts of the lake. Amazing views and wonderful weather.

Fantastic HotelPosted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
We spent 2 nights at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo starting 1st of August. The hotel itself is absolutely faultless. We drove up from Milan Malpensa and was a scenic drive along the side of Lake Como. Just drive into the hotel entrance and one of the concierge will park your car in the complimentary car park. Superior lake view room was excellent...all about that view. High ceiling and spacious room. The hotel facilities are great, lying by the side of the floating pool was a great memory. The pizza bar out back offers tasty authentic pizza. We ate at the terraza restaurant which was ok but a bit too fancy for us. Tremezzo itself is an ideal relaxed environment. It doesn't have the bustle of Bellagio but remains only 5 minutes away on the rapido lake crossing every hour which is reasonably priced at ~€9 each way. There are several other places to eat in Tremezzo for some variety and the bar in 3 1/2 cafe was good end to a night. All in all, excellent hotel, nothing to fault.

It was a wonderful hotel the rooms were gorgeous, there are 2 pools - one in the garden and one floating on the lake - both excellent the staff were great We had a great time. the last night it rained so we ate in the fondue restaurant which was a bit differemt - great chocolate findue for dessert! the only gripe is the cost of everything! - but then that part of Italy is expensive I guess
