“Good price, Good value, Good location”
This hotel has an amazing location, very centrally located. The bus station is right nearby and the train station is across the street. The ferry dock and tram to Brunate (village on the hill above) are also just a short walk. This is a great place to stay if you don't mind bunkbeds and a hostel feel. Our room looked out over a courtyard in the back so it was pretty quiet. The room was basic and small but very clean and looked fairly new. There was no TV or phone so don't expect that. The bathrooms are separate male/female with 2 showers, toilets and 2 sinks. The bathrooms are very clean and new. The bathrooms are closed each day from 10 am -1 pm for cleaning but at least then I knew they were being cleaned. The showers also are closed from 10 pm -6 am, but it wasn't busy so there was ample time to shower outside of those times.
The breakfast was actually quiet large and better than I expected. There were a lot of meats and cheeses to choose from, juice, a few cereals, milk etc. Breakfast was served downstairs outside along the front of the hotel which was nice. I would definitely stay here again. We were also allowed to leave our luggage in the reception area until we were ready to board our train after we checked out. The man at the main desk was very helpful and speaks English; check at the dock, to be sure the ferry times he tells are right as his times were slightly off from the correct times.
