It couldn't have been better!Posted Aug 18, 2014
Paolo and his family provided us with the best stay. The villa has excellent location, comfortable facilities, the pool has a magnificent view to the lake and service is great! It has become our address in Lake Como. No need to look further!

Perfect place to stay on Lake ComoPosted Jul 11, 2014
We really can't say enough about the service provided by the proprietors of Villa La Mirabella. Their service was very friendly and always accommodating. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and offered a peaceful setting with a partial lake view balcony and another window facing the garden. Offered both great views and privacy. The bathroom was spacious and modern. Paolo and his family have preserved a beautiful lake villa while installing unobtrusive modern updates that do not detract from the hotel's charm. He was ready to answer any questions regarding the hotel, the surrounding area, and travel arrangements. After serving us a lovely (and very reasonably-priced!) dinner on the first night of our stay, he was nice enough to recommend restaurants and make dinner reservations for us for the remainder of our stay. The continental breakfast was also exceptional, definitely better than an average complimentary hotel breakfast. Outstanding accommodations and excellent service. We would definitely stay here again when returning to Lake Como.

Charming villa overlooking Lake ComoPosted Jun 17, 2014
Fantastic. Felt immediately at home with friendly owners. Perfect English. Helpful with everything. Gourmet dinners and delicious breakfasts overlooking Lake Como. Beautiful villa-style decor. Comfortable room with hairdryer in bathroom. Walking distance to ferry across to Bellagio and Varenna. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel, but...Posted May 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
Pros: Lovely property, close to villa carlotta estate, nice hosts, likely a lot cheaper than stuff across the lake, nice breakfast. Cons: west side of lake como has a lot of traffic and isn't pedestrian friendly.. confusing ferry system makes getting back home hard (hotel actually is serviced by 3 different ferry stops). I would probably look at other cities to stay in next time, as the savings and inconveniences isn't worth it.

Good food, excellent service; a delight.Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: Everything; the food was excellent, the staff were efficient, friendly and informative. The hotel itself was very clean.
Although we stayed only for three days, we enjoyed the time spent at the Vill la Mirabella enormously. The weather was very kind, every day was sunny and warm for the time of year. We visited the local botanical Gardens which were magnificent in full Spring bloom. A boat trip across the lake was a great pleasure. We would recommend both the hotel and the area with enthusiasm.

Good valuePosted Oct 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
A little rustic but a very nice place to stay. Service was excellent and it was easy enough to get around from the hotel. Not all the amenities of a larger hotel, but if you like quaint with all the essentials and a B&B feel, this is a great place.

Great spot for visiting Lake ComoPosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Great location and great amenities
Cons: A buffet breakfast wouldbe better
Location: Excellent location directly across the lake from Bellagio
Villa La Mirabella is in a great spot directly across the lake from Bellagio. Westayed for two nights in July 2013. It is well appointed with lovely grounds including an under cover carpark and swimming pool with views over the lake. It would be hard to beat for a quiet base to explore Lake Como. Breakfast was included but they did not handle gluten free requirement well. We had dinner right next door at Restaurant Rodrigo.

One of the most beautiful places in the world.Posted Aug 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Charming former Villa just across the street from Lake Como with fantastic views of the Lake, Bellagio on the far shore, and the mountains beyond. We ate dinner (simple 3 course dinner, but well prepared and presented and quite tasty) in the small dining room while gazing at the incredible view. Breakfast (typical European fare of cold cuts, fruit, breads, pastries, and yogurt) was in adjacent sunroom with the same stunning views. The was a lift to get luggage to second floor room which was a nice size with a small balcony. Bathroom was small but serviceable and clean. Bed was comfortable and they did get softer pillows for my wife. Internet service was a bit weak and I had to go down to sitting room to get a really good connection. We did not get to use the pool up the hill behind the Villa, but it looked inviting. We were able to walk to Villa Carlotta, boat dock for the ferry to Bellagio, or the slow boat that stops all along the Lake. One hop away from Lenno and the Villa Balbianello, which is a must see. We will always remember our visit here and the fantastic sights. Paolo ran the front desk and served our breakfast and dinner. He was a wealth of information and very friendly and helpful. Spoke excellent English for which I am grateful.
