the property is nice but there was no AC. It was hot during summer so we had to open our balcony door. Then the cars were noisy outside.

Property is an old facility, the rooms are simple, with no air conditioning and no fans. It is on a busy roundabout and has very limited parking. Simple, clean accommodation.

I had a bad experience with something in my food, that’s probably best I don’t mention incase it put others off. I’m sure it was an isolated incident nonetheless it sadly shouldn’t happen. It’s a no frills hotel, everyone was friendly though and facilities were good albeit the bathroom was down the corridor. Overall happy. Thank you :)

A little expensive for what you get
The man on reception was very welcoming and friendly. However I specifically booked this hotel because it said onsite parking was available, it turned out there was only space for 3 or 4 cars in their very small car park, so we had to park on the street instead, it is in the very small print of the hotel info that you need to contact the hotel in advance to reserve their onsite parking, this should be made much clearer. The hotel is clean, perhaps a little tired. My main issue on comfort is that we stayed on a warm summer night, although not super hot, it was about 17degrees overnight, but the room was incredible hot and stuffy, no fans provided, with the window open it was a pleasant temperature, but our room faced a busy road, and it was too noisy to sleep with the window open, and unfortunately too hot with the window closed, so I did not get a good nights sleep.

I had booked a two night stay but could not stay the second night. They desperately need some room fans as it’s hot and sticky and the rooms are right on the road and this too noisy to keep open when sleeping. I told them I was checking out early and the owner got mad at me and said it was not too hot and I would not get a refund. I had not asked for one. He just seemed irritated. Anyway it would be an okay place for a night if they would only invest in some fans. Breakfast was alright and was reasonable enough that 10 CHF. I probably won’t stay there again as I just could not get any sleep.

Not bad, but not great
Check-in and hotel are very nice and comfortable. The hotel is a little out-dated and could use a renovation. The breakfast was not so great, mostly generic branded stuff that tasted a little weird (even my son said the same thing). All-in-all, the place was satisfactory.

You need to take a fan because no AC. Very nice people the restaurant is excellent. For two people ok but no for 3 adults. Close to down town and lake.

Strayed onto the Swiss side.
Perhaps the most friendly welcome so far and very helpful. The building and room seemed more old style than many, but everything worked. Breakfast was great -a full German/Swiss spread. Our bicycles were locked outside. Location was on the Swiss side on the city.

Overnight in Kreuglingen
Located in Kreuglingen, near the border with Germany. Walking distance to the shops in Kreuglingen and the shops in Konstanz, Germany. Nice service at the reception. Wifi was good. Shower was good. Bed was good, if a little squeaky. We did note that if people upstairs were noisy, it was easily heard through the ceiling. There is no aircon or fan and the day we were there was extremely hot, so we were lucky that our room was on the shaded side of the building. Breakfast was supplied and it was pretty good - breads, ham, jams, croissants. There was a limited number of free parking spots at the rear of the hotel. We found that in general Swiss accommodation, including this one, was expensive compared to EU accommodation. Overall, not a bad stay and we would go back.

Nice and old hotel on the Swiss side.
Hotel, is kind of old, on the swiss side. parking is on the street, staff was very nice. room was very clean. breakfast was ok. At the expidia picture the front is much more impressive than reality.

Hotel staff were very friendly but the hotel was very tired, the rooms really need renovation the bathroom particularly so. The breakfast was ok but the restaurant was closed for the entire time so really only bed and breakfast was available. Fortunately it was a relativley short walk to the town centre and plenty on restaurants.

Very expensive for what you grt. No air condition
Friendly enough staff, but very small rooms, old and stuffy rooms. It was very hot weather --- no air conditioning. It was hard to be in the rooms until very late at night and the wind blew.

This hotel is really basic. People smoke in the restaurant, so the hotel itself is smoky. It is close to a major street. The noise level in the room is pretty high.

Cute little hotel
I had a lovely stay. The staff were all very friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was fantasic. The room is simple and small. There is a bed. Private washroom with shower. Tv. Desk. It is a quick 10 minute walk to the train station. And maybe 15-20 to Konstanz. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a basic hotel. (If you are expecting something extravagant, this hotel is not for you).

could've been better - could've been worse
Upon arrival there was no staff around at all. Just a note on the reception desk with the key and room number. I leave the rest of the self service to your imagination! The room was spacious but not up to scratch. I think I was the only one staying at the hotel. Later on there was a member of staff who appeared. It wasn't a bad experience, but was a bit eerie and could've been better. For what I paid - it was expensive!!

HOTEL PLAZA IN KONSTANCE
THE HOTEL IS OLD AND TIRED THE OUT SIDE LOOKS BETTER THAN THE INSIDE.ONE MEMBER OF STAFF WAS VERY ABRUPT WHEN SERVING BREAKFAST. DRINKS REALLY EXPENSIVE DID NOT REALISE THIS HOTEL IS IN THE SWISS PART WHICH WAS INCONVINIENT AS WE HAD NO SWISS MONEY. IT WAS A GOOD HALF HOUR WALK INTO THE GERMAN SIDE

Least expensive close hotel
Constance area can be pricey with best deals a long way from town and boat docks and trains. Plaza is half hour walk to boats/trains, nice breakfast, decent sized, quiet rooms. Good Expedia value.

I know little changes in good old Switzerland with time, but having a refrigerator in a room that switches on and of in a way that wakes you up reminded me of my childhood which is long gone. I could hardly sleep. Having English speaking staff would help too.

Das Bett war total unbequem, Lattenrost mit dünner Matratze. Die Teppiche im Zimmer, fleckig, sehr unhigienisch. Das Badezimmer nur oberflächlich geputzt. Das Frühstücksbuffet verdient seinen Namen nicht.

Expérience très étrange...
L'hôtel est un vieux bâtiment qui sert aussi de restaurant. L'accueil qui se veut chaleureux est très particulier. On nous a fait traverser la cuisine pour aller à la chambre en passant par l'arrière cour. La chambre ne ressemble pas du tout aux photos de leur site internet. Obligé d'avoir les volets fermés pour ne pas avoir tout le monde qui nous observe (le cuisinier qui fume ou les gens qui se garent). Le propriétaire n'a pas vraiment de parking, il entasse les voitures tant qu'il peut sur le côté de l'hôtel.
