Quiet, clean hotel with friendly staff - perfect!

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Clean, Good breakfast buffet, free Wi-Fi, bike hire, car park, swimming pool, location, fridge in wardrobe, security safe in room. Friendly staff.
Cons: No kettle or tea/coffee facilities in room. I'm sure it's the same everywhere. Solved by a quick visit to the Penny Market!
Location: Close to lake shore but not on it. 2 minute drive to Desenzano. 10 minutes to Sirmione. An easy 30 minute drive from Verona Airport.
Our first visit to Lake Garda and we chose this hotel based on its location between Desenzano and Sirmione. It's quiet, extremely clean, has comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi and a nice underground car park to store the hire car. There's a small swimming pool on the first floor with some exercise equipment nearby and plenty of sunbeds. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a two minute walk across the main road and down a path to the lakeshore. In short we found it a perfect base from which to explore the Lake Garda area. For visitors without a hire car, then possibly a hotel centred in one of the many beautiful towns around the Lake would be a better bet.

Great Hotel in a good location

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Great staff, access to local amenities, sky TV, rooms cleaned to a high standard every day. Fridge in room
Cons: Fridge in room to stay on after you leave the room(removal of key card cuts off electric)
Location: Close to local store, easy access to Lake, 5 minute drive to harbour for access to boat services on the lake.
A really great hotel with very helpful staff. Good disabled access. Good car parking. Excellent complimentary breakfast with plenty of choice. If I return to the region in the future I would actively seek out this hotel to stay there again. Thank you for a great holiday!

Great hotel, lovely atmosphere, fantastic location

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Location: Near to Desenzano del Garda, whilst on holiday we also visited Sirmione, Venice, Verona, and spent some time on a boat round the lake.
The hotel was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were basic but clean and comfortable, with a great, large balcony with a lake view. The hotel is very close the the beach, near to a little village and about 25 minutes walk from Desenzano del Garda. The hotel also had bikes to hire which was very handy, as it takes approximately half an hour to cycle to Sirmione. Food was good, restaurant nice and quite, always plenty of food at breakfast. The pool is also great, and the roof-top terrace is brilliant for sunbathing, and you can sit in the jacuzzi and look over the lake!

Small, comfortable hotel, close to Desenzano

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Enjoyed our stay at The Admiral Hotel Villa Erme. Hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms were small but kept spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable. More storage for clothes would have been useful. We also didn't have balconies as our rooms were very close to the pool......though that meant we had very easy access to it! Breakfasts were tasty and there was a good choice of food. Bikes were available to use so though we found a car useful for exploring more of the area, you could get by without renting one. We would be very happy to use this hotel again.

Great Value Hotel

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Just returned from a 5 day stay with my girlfriend at the Admiral and had a great time. The hotel is exactly what you expect and excellent value for money. Location wise it's a 30-40 minute walk to Desenzano and the station and Sirmione is an easy cycle ride away. The best part about our stay at a Admiral was that they provide free bikes to rent to all guests making it very easy to get around. The hotel itself is 2 minutes walk from the lake itself. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us with researching train times to Venice etc. The only downsides were that our balcony wasn't really clean. The hotel itself though pretty is quite dated. We discovered that we were getting bitten in the night and found we had an ants nest in our room under the bed! We complained and asked to move but as it was our last night I don't think it was taken seriously. Despite this though I would go back. *stayed in room 202

Comfortable hotel a little out of town

Posted May 15, 2014
Pros: The room was spotless & cleaned each day with a powerful shower & plenty of hot water. Hot tub lovely! Staff helpful, breakfast was good
Cons: I'd like to move it a bit closer to town, and it would be good if the rooftop views of the lake were as panoramic as the photos suggest.
Location: The hotel is a 30 minute walk into the centre of Desenzano but only a couple of minutes to the lake and a small, shingley 'beach' area.
I thought this was a nice hotel if you don't mind the distance from town. We quite enjoyed having a walk there and back during the day but then at night we really couldn't be bothered to do it all again so we ended up staying close to the hotel. We were there for three nights and went to the same restaurant (Rossi & Rossi) every night, which we'd never normally do, but the staff were nice and the food was lovely and good value so we didn't feel the need to venture elsewhere having been all over the place during the day! We made really good use of the hot tub on the roof terrace, chilling it out in it every night before getting ready for dinner and we had it to ourselves most of the time. I think the pic of the 'panoramic roof terrace' is a little misleading! They let us check in early and helped us out with train times, booking taxis etc. The included continental buffet breakfast was really good - nice variety and they constantly replenished everything. We got the ferry to Bardolino and Sirmione (gorgeous!) one day and had a day trip to Venice on another - both days were perfect. We felt really depressed when we had to go home - three nights is definitely not long enough! I liked the hotel but I think I would probably stay in a different resort if we came back, or at least in a hotel that's not quite such a walk from the centre - although the exercise was handy given the amount of delicious pizza, pasta and icecream we ate every day! Overall we were really happy with our stay

Good hotel for the price

Posted Oct 23, 2013
Pros: Location was handy, rooms were relatively comfortable.
Cons: Air-conditioning (room was hot and stuffy) and car parking was at a premium anything bigger than a Fiat Punto is hard to park.
Location: It's about a 2.5km walk into the main town, which has some nice old sites. Great markets on the Sunday (Rivotella) and Tuesday (Desanzano).
The hotel was handy for our needs. Staff were courteous and knowledgeable. You may wish to consider your needs and preferences before you book. The pool is only open May - September, which is unfortunate.

Nice and quiet, Good Location, Trrible WiFi !!!

Posted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: the place is peaceful and well treated like in the picturs. the morning breakfast was basic and OK. nice jacuzzi onthe roof. clean. staff: Mirko No 1!
Cons: WiFi - TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! dont count on the wireless connection, I tryed all the area's but the connection was outrageous. the staff ignored me!!
Location: Location is greate cause it is very quiet and calm, fust in front of the lake. more over it is few minuts from A4 autostrada and Sirmione.
My wife and I came here to cellebrate her 30's. The location was perfect for our star traveling which included the Garda lake and the serrounding, venice, verona and innsbruck in Austria (2.45 Hr by car). The hotel and flights were invited long time before t×™rough Expedia - very easy and convenient. The car was taken separately cause we wanted somthing special that they could not offer us.
