Setting is really fabulous on the lakeside with easy access to boat trips and local restaurants at lakeside and up into the hills.

Substantive hotel on lakeside.Posted Jul 6, 2015
This hotel had great charm. The service was superb, and all the staff did their very best for you. The hotel is right next to the ferry stop, which was great, and it is next to a promenade where a number of restaurants are situated. The only reason for downgrading from 'excellent' all round is that the corridors of this very grand hotel are slightly tired.

Beautiful grounds, great staffPosted Jun 24, 2015
The hotel was absolutely gorgeous and the staff was outstanding. The breakfast buffet was impressive! I couldn't believe it was included in our room rate! The rooms were a bit dates but the bathroom was just updated and really nice. Rooms were really spacious for Europe. My one complaint is that the good on premises was crazy expensive.

35thWedding Anniversary TreatPosted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: See above
Cons: Stop people putting their things on the sun beds before breakfast then going off & not returning for a few hours - always the same people /same beds.
Location: Local shops & restaurants good- short walk from hotel. Hydrofoil stop very near for excursions to other areas along the lake.
Perfect - relaxing ,lovely weather, good food, beautiful location .Helpful staff, always a smile, not intrusive - lovely pimms made by pool barman.Hope to go again.

Large hotel on the waterfrontPosted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: The Location
Cons: Some of the upper common areas could do with a facelift
Location: On the edge of the lake with ferry access to other towns and villages, typical 'old town' nearby, lovely gardens and restaurants
Traditional outlook to the hotel, catering mainly for older clientele, a bit pricey on food and drinks, but a good atmosphere.

Very mixed experience.Posted Jun 14, 2015
This hotel has a beautiful location on the lake and good for the ferry service. This hotel caters for the older age group and the evening meal service lacks atmosphere. The rooms could do with a refurbishment and the beds are small and very hard. Air conditioning is subtle to say the least and could do with an update in 30 degrees plus. Overall needs investment.

Pros: The perfect location
Location: Just central to accessing the boat for north and south of the lake, visits. Just perfect
Simply divine! What a fabulous hotel. Great team/staff at the hotel, all so helpful, polite and friendly. The hotel is stunning and the Art Deco suites, quite stunning. To sit on the baclony and view the lake is breathtaking

Happy CustomerPosted Jun 3, 2015
Pros: Location and view
Cons: We had a perfect experience
Location: Location was perfect with the most beautiful view
It was one of the most beautiful hotels we stayed in. The staff was fantastic - the dining room staff, the bar staff and the front desk included. Food was also great. Rooms very comfortable and clean. We would recommend this hotel very highly.
