Idyllic hotel perfect for a relaxing breakPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: The external areas are brilliant and made our stay, whether relaxing on the decking or sitting outside the restaurant area.
Cons: The WiFi: whilst free, it was sooooo slow that we often used our 3G instead!
Location: Climb the castle walls, relax in the sunshine, swim, eat pizza, eat ice-cream....!
The location of the hotel is fabulous: located on the shores of the Lake and in the shadows of the castle, a short stroll from the Old Town filled with restaurants and ice-cream parlours. The breakfast - eaten whilst overlooking the Lake - had a great selection and the waiters were v helpful (and brought as many cappuccinos as we wanted, no quibble). In fact, the bar and waiting staff were always friendly and helpful and served coffees, cokes, beers and cocktails all day long. The pool is thermal and suphur-smelling, so perhaps an odd choice to dip on a hot day! However, the decking overhangs the Lake and there are stairs granting access directly to the Lake, if you're brave enough! There are not 100s of things to do in Sirmione, but if you are looking for a hotel at which to relax in the Italian sunshine, then you can't go wrong with this one!

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful lakeside townPosted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Fantastic location for all Sirmione and Lake Garda has to offer and great lakeside position for when we needed to escape for a few hours.
Cons: Nothing. A superb break at a lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff.
Location: Hotel overlooks Lake Garda and is opposite old citadel gate for Sirmione where you can access a number of nice restaurants with food and lake views.
A really enjoyable break in one of the most beautiful towns on Lake Garda staying at a hotel that lived up to expectations with great staff who were very welcoming. Fantastic lounging by the lake where you can swim away from the madding crowd with view of the old citadel at Sirmione. Probably the only hotel where I've seen a really good mix between couples and families.

A lovely hotel...Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Pretty much everything !
Cons: Wi FI reception was dire and didn't work in or room. Other than that, this is a great hotel.
Location: One of the best locations possible, right on the lake, beside an amazing castle and historic town. Take a boat to other towns but, above all, relax !
This luxurious hotel has a wonderful location right on Lake Garda beside the castle in Sirmione. It is a fantastic place. The hotel pool is right beside the lake and is heated by natural hot springs. You can also swim in the lake if you are up to it. The breakfasts are great and just about everything you could want is available. The fresh strawberries are delightful. Our room was superbly comfortable, very well cleaned and serviced. The town of Sirmione has loads of restaurants and ferry services to Garda and various other places on the lake. We had a great few days here in this superb place and recommend the hotel to all.

Great Hotel, Excellent LocationPosted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Nothing to dislike at all
Cons: maybe, just maybe the bedrooms may need updating, but that it just being picky!
Location: Great location by the castle, just out of the hustle and bustle of the busy tiny streets. Plenty of restaurants/bars nearby.
Arrived at hotel at 12pm, room was available straight away with an added bonus of a free upgrade overlooking the lake. Immaculate large room and bathroom, massive bed with complimentary drinks in fridge to. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, great choice. Staff were exceptional.

Great location to explore or unwind.Posted Jun 1, 2014
Perfect hotel for a lake garda getaway. Just 25 minutes from Verona airport, and very easy to find. Park your rental on the grounds of the hotel, step outside the gates and you are just metres away from the tourist centre of Sirmione. The town and surrounding area offer more attractions then many other villages combined so it's a great place to stay. The hotel itself is not big and that increases it's appeal, it has a 5star quality but a family run feel. The lobby, bar, restaurant and rooms are all tasteful but not modern. It's not high tech but it is supremely comfortable. The spa and sun bed area offer exceptional lake views. You can't get closer to the lake, the sun loungers are above the water, so the sound of lapping waves beneath you is very therapeutic. The heated, sulphur rich swimming pool is wonderful. As hot as a bath and featuring whirlpools and fountains that distract you so entirely that you run the risk of loosing a day, when you only intended to stay for an hour. For a first trip, book the GHT. You won't regret it.

Pros: Location and spa.
Cons: Bathrooms in room was a bit dated.
Beautiful lakeside location. Fantastic thermal pool and outdoor sunbathing area on lakeside. Steam, sauna and jacuzzi with bifold doors opening onto Lake Garda. Breakfast was excellent, huge choice of both hot and cold. We didn't eat in the hotel at night.

Fantastic hotelPosted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: Facilities, staff and location
Went to this hotel for my wife's 40th birthday, the staff looked after us and the hotel was just great, it's location is perfect for sirmione and situated directly on the lake the views were outstanding! We spent a day enjoying the spa and thermal pool, which was so relaxing after 2 days exploring the peninsular and enjoying some of the great restraints found there!
