"Anniversary treat"
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Beautiful spot to enjoy the town whilst quiet in the hotel itself. The jetty over the water was our favourite spot to enjoy the sun all afternoon with coffee or prosecco. Room spotless as was bathroom, spa not busy and a lovely treat. Would Sta again certainly.

"Rest by the Lake"
We stayed 2 nights to have a rest before Venice and had a great time. The hotel is family run and nothing is too much trouble. The views across the lake and the place itself are great. I lovely place to unwind. They don't advertise evening meals but there is a limited choice each evening which was very tasty traditional Italian food. The breakfast selection was to die for and I loved using the orange machine to squeeze my own orange juice.

"Tired 2 star hotel...remarkably superb location"
This hotel is inside the old city of Sirimone, just a stone's throw from the beach, the thermal baths, and dozens of shops and restaurants lining the narrow stone-paved streets. Most visitors to Sirimone must park their cars outside the old city; however, as a hotel guest, you get the opportunity to drive in, navigating the maze of medieval lanes at a snail's pace before you reach the hotel parking lot, where you can leave your car as you enjoy the rest of your holiday on foot. The hotel obviously was a very nice place in its heyday; however, today it is tired. I am not sure how it still has four stars. The lobby and public areas are well-kept, but nothing has been updated in more than a decade. Our room was a family room - basically two bedrooms and a bathroom. The accommodations were sparse - bare floors, nothing hanging on the walls, and basic furnishings that were in serious need of replacement. While in the room, I felt like I was in a cheap conference center or dorm room. Each bedroom had a balcony with cheap plastic chairs but our balcony did not have much of a view, though some rooms facing the front of the hotel probably have views of the lake. The rooms in the photos looked nice and plush; our room was stark, bare, and cold. It took numerous requests for us to get the heat turned on and working properly. Would we visit again? Yes, because of the location, we would stay again if we could get a price consistent with 2-star hotels in the area.

Via Dante 31, Sirmione 25019 - Map
Location wise you could not ask for anything better. The hotel is located in the heart of Sirmione town and to gain access you have to walk through the moat of the castle. Spectacular to say the least. Sirmione is probably the most popular and busiest town in Garda and such a pretty town it is. The hotel on the other hand didn't live up to expectations. We requested a room with a view of the lake. We got this but the view was partly obscured by the roof of a restaurant in front of us, but it was passable....if you could close your eyes to the pale green decor top to bottom. The room itself was very basic with old furniture and very small. The air conditioning did not work, i think it needed gassing up. Anyhow after several attempts and interventions to no avail, the hotel Manager decided to move us to the 'junior suite'. Wow ! we thought, however the room albeit twice the size of the previous one, had no view apart from the back end of the hotel (ie no sea view) and one could hardly call it a junior suite, it was more like what i would expect for a normal room. there was no point in complaining further because it would have spoiled our 2 nights there so we sucked it up. the main thing was - the air conditioning worked ! The breakfast was typical of Italy. Hams, cheese, salami, nothing special plus the eggs you had to boil yourself. As i say the location was perfect but unfortunately that was about it.

"Fantastic Location, More like four stars"
Staff here were so friendly and helpful. My husband locked our passports in the safe on the first day, the reception staff were there within 5 minutes to sort it out. We needed taxi's booked - no problem. They also have the facility to book trips to Venice and Verona, ect. Free WiFi - signal not great in rooms but perfect in bar and around the pool area. Rooms were clean, and changed towels and bedding as often as you wanted. Leaving a card on the bed to let the maids know. Paid extra for a lake view room and it was worth it. Pool and spa area are lovely, you can swim to a set of stairs that take you inside to a relaxation room with beds, a sauna a shower and a toilet. The pool is thermal and relaxing. Breakfast is fabulous: Continental and fresh coffee. Location: Right next to Sirmione Castle, a boat port for travelling to different parts of the lake and the lovely squares filled with fabulous restaurants. Things not so great... Lake Access: You can see it and their is pier from the hotel garden but it is cordoned off as there are pieces missing. My husband and I still walked along it and went for a swim. Also, they have entertainers on 3/4 times a week. Its the same two singers and they kept us awake on some nights as we were right above the bar in room 130. This was a bit disappointing but the Italian tourists seemed to enjoy it! Overall we loved this hotel, we had a fabulous experience of Lake Garda and would defiantly return. We are very sad we had to leave!

"Good Hotel in great location."
This hotel is situated in central Desenzano, and within easy walking distance of the main train station when I say easy it's a fifteen minute walk. The hotel is situated in a good central location with plenty of restaurants near by, and only a couple minutes walk away from the boat terminal from which you can explore the delights of Lake Garda. The hotel staff were very friendly and had a good selection on their breakfast buffet, some of the rooms have a small balcony which overlooks an inlet of small boats from the main harbour, if we were staying again I think we would try and get one if these all in all good value and would recommend.
